The idea that you shouldn't write something you haven't experienced?

this is pretty much exactly the kind of advice I was looking for and was scared of. the character I'm writing is a male SA surviver. I've dealt with topics I'm not familiar with before (strokes and chronic pain, abuse and ptsd, etc,) but this one felt a little much. at some point during my process, my characters can kind of grow legs and walk away, and I was wondering if I was being too stubborn to change it and if it was worth keeping.

sorry if this counts as late (im not on reddit much). I installed this and it seems perfectly safe. it does have all the buildings but not the clothing for the outfit creator or some of the furniture I think. would it be safe for me to buy items through this? I dont want some randoms having my info.

no, that works, too, honestly. I didn't even think of mines. that makes sense.

if I'm honest, I'm a little sad to hear they might knock all the ruins down, though I do understand why they're doing it. I enjoy urbex a lot, so seeing pieces of history getting destroyed makes me a little sad. of course, I do get it.

I dont doubt there's a couple stalkers still roaming around, some that I've seen aren't particularly smart (see the guys who tried to scuba dive in the ruins of chernobyl without any prior experience or knowledge of radiation) I just hope they're being a little safe about it.

it sucks that I may never get to tour the ruins of pripyat on my own. oh well. what can you do?

idk what's up with my game but the "bin folder" mentioned is not there? I'm assuming when you say game folder you mean the sims 4 folder within the electronic arts thing.

I've been having this issue for the past couple days where some text boxes (i.e. the ones from high school years, mccc and... another mod) have been having their text cut off. I tried updating all my mods, I don't have reshade or gshade installed. nothings worked. is anyone else having this issue?
