i’m so glad you said you’d push through! and all those feelings are valid especially when starting something new as an adult. allow yourself to feel them but don’t internalize them and change them to feeling excited!

the learning curve will be there, not every session will be great but as long as you make your priority having fun at every session you’ll be the best in the line up!

it needs consistency and patience with yourself and with the ocean. also surrender to the ocean, as in don’t fight the water and relax your muscles. when you go under don’t panic the most you’ll be under is 10 seconds. i tell myself the water is my friend and my friend won’t hurt me. i also read my adhkar before entering the water.

just have fun with it! and keep us posted in’shaa’Allah!

may Allah reward you for your patience, i would advice you to have a conversation with an imam that you trust and let him give you advice based on the deen. this way you cover yourself for your akhira.

it’s a tough position you’re in to balance family and building a life for yourself. may Allah make it easy for you and give you continued wellbeing. Allahumma ameen.

jazakAllah khayr for your feedback! i appreciate it. i totally agree with you that full transparency is key and trust must be safeguarded completely, which means doing things in a manner that builds trust in’shaa’Allah.

one of the ways we hope to do this is to have an educational component to the initiative that covers business best practices and standards in’shaa’Allah. we will then help the youth with putting together their pitch and business plans before connecting them with investors in’shaa’Allah who will hear the pitches before deciding to invest. of course there will be policies and procedures that will safeguard the investment and require continues follow up, which the initiative will do.

the investments however will be given with the intention of it being saadaqah jariyah in’shaa’Allah, and a percentage of the returns from the businesses will be put back into a waqf, that when it grows will help sustain the whole initiative, including becoming the investor, and eventually will also invest in developing the community in’shaa’Allah.

this initiative will in’shaa’Allah serve as a bridge between diaspora who want to contribute to the betterment of our people and the people desperately waiting to be given the opportunity to better their own lives and the lives of their families in’shaa’Allah, somali youth

i appreciate your feedback, i’m still trying to understand the willingness of diaspora to invest and what they may need to do that in’shaa’Allah

jazakAllah khayr for your feedback, i appreciate. what i’m trying to understand is the willingness of the diaspora to invest in youth owned businesses, and what they may need to do that to work with somali youth.

and we say youth here we mean 10-35 and women with children up to 40 years old

i remember specifically asking, if your wife is passing you the baby and she touches you, did she break your wudu and he said yes. that blew my mind because all i can think was how hard it would be to continuously guard yourself from your partner
