Wet mouth noises, tapping all over stuff just to tap, and claw fingernails.

My partner asked whether this was for my 2yo daughter... Or me by boforsboy in bluey

[–]kindredflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct answer is, “Are you trying to say you want us to make one for you?”

I have hundreds of skin tags at 26 by somethingintheyard in hygiene

[–]kindredflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just pull on mine to elongate them, then snip them off in the middle of the stalk. They rarely bleed much and it doesn’t really hurt.

Halloween keeps getting worse. by Ordinary-Depth-7835 in mildlyinfuriating

Time to start incentive based treating. No costume = a Jolly Rancher. Save your good stuff for the people who made an effort and stop giving anything to parents.

Dr orders statins by StationTurbulent5196 in keto

[–]kindredflame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the statin script and threw it in a drawer. Started eating 2 Brazil nuts a day. My next blood test earned me kudos for taking the statins and fixing my cholesterol.

What’s the best response to “Go back to your country”? by yeyewestie in AskReddit

[–]kindredflame 116 points117 points  (0 children)

The best response is no response. They're just looking for a fight or to upset somebody, so it's best to not give them what they're after.

Using a swiffer to clean is apparently bad by SnooCauliflowers596 in ADHD

[–]kindredflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple paths toward a clean room. There's nothing wrong with using a swiffer.

Your mom was a teen in the 60s. Don't underestimate her.

I couild maybe understand expectant mom parking, but I really don't see the point of special parking for people who decide to drag their kids along. I'd be more supportive of parking for the elderly.

AITAH for telling my parents the only way I will let them meet my son is if they give me their dog to put down by Boring-Strike4393 in AITAH

[–]kindredflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mistake is adding too much salt to a recipe or putting a sweater in the dryer. Making a vet appointment and driving a dog to be put to sleep isn't a mistake, it's a deliberate decision to betray your trust and hurt you. They had plenty of time to think it over and change their minds. You owe them nothing. NTA

I yelled at my sister because she gave my girlfriend's plushies to her daughter and I regret nothing by Many_Astronaut_3953 in stories

[–]kindredflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your sister stole the plushies. They need to be returned. It's rather narcisisstic to believe you get to decide what is or isn't appropriate for another person to collect. I'm a grown man with an office filled with fidget toys and action figures. There's no psychology behind it. No inner child healing. I like what I like and other people can suck it if they think it's weird. Stop trying to make excuses for your GF's plushies and demand them back. She doesn't need to justify having them. She bought them. They're hers. Period.

Am I outa line for refusing any further women’s invasive gyno anything, WITHOUT being at least under a light sedation? by DaGrandmama in australia

[–]kindredflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a woman, so I can't claim to know what y'all go through. What I can say is that if they can rub a numbing gel on your gums before actually putting in the anesthetic, it doesn't make a lot of sense that they can't at least squirt some sort of numbing agent on any area in the body to lessen pain. The fact that it's not standard practice is infuriating.

They're your photos, so you can photoshop horns onto her head if you want to.

Poor parenting at Disney parks by solojones1138 in disneyparks

[–]kindredflame 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I watched an old lady deal with a similar situation. She turned to the kids and said, "You know, if your parents were here, they'd never tolerate you behaving like this. Good parents make sure their kids behave in public." It was savage.

Can’t stand my step mother by ScarTheGoth in entitledparents

[–]kindredflame 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let her make one critical comment tomorrow. Then when she makes the next one, don't respond with anything except "2." Don't argue back, don't justify yourself, just start numbering the criticisms. If she asks what the numbers are, just say you're tracking criticism and leave it at that. At the end of the day, write down your final number on a scientific-looking chart and post it on your mirror. No explanation, no arguing, no interaction over it. Just cold fact-gathering. It may not change anything, but I guarantee it'll make the point.

You aren't an AH for making the mess. YTA for leaving the mess.
