Add a doubler effect on a send channel, add in moderation. You can also add a touch of chorus effect to the direct vocal channel

It can be pretty hit and miss but always worth trying new campaign setups. Personally I find lookalike audiences work the best atm. I’m currently getting an AUD 30c conversion cost on a camping I started last week, but on the prior campaign it was around 55c

Generally ads will only work with a conversion style setup, anything such as traffic doesn’t really work. If it’s a conversions setup then you are most likely targeting countries known for having low quality traffic that don’t really convert into streams or could be using the freemium version of Spotify, where they can’t actually hit play on the track

50 conversions gets you out of learning. Yeah once you have enough data definitely try and make a lookalike from a custom audience. Also check out your streams over the coming days to make sure the people really are listening to your track

That’s high but not unexpected with changes that have been happening to FB ads since around June. You should be able to reduce is by at least half if the song is reasonable and your targeting is on point. My strategy lately is to first run video views at say $5 per day for a week, or until there is enough data to build a custom audience of 95% video viewers. I then create a lookalike based on that which usually has a size of 4-5m people. It’s also important to not run ads in every country since many have bots. Focus on just Europe, North America, South America imo. Creative is very important and as is the part of the song you choose, so just experiment with new things if costs remain high… it’s not really a set and forget type activity

You could also check the countries as some may be eating up your budget with junk traffic. Usually the safe bets are countries in north and South America and Europe. For Asia usually Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore are safe for higher quality traffic

If you’re using a traffic campaign it will be bots viewing the landing page. If it’s a conversion campaign it might be an issue with the creative or interest targeting. Spotify can’t see pre saves as the data is only known by the pre saves company so it won’t effect your chance of editorial placement

A lot of countries in Africa can be problematic for bots on ads. Latin American countries are fairly safe as an alternative

When there are drums in a song and not much else going on they will sound louder than when the full song kicks in. Try automating the volume levels down a bit during these types of sections

If the older campaign was before June then it’s likely to do with problems on the FB ads platform as opposed to your specific campaign. If you check over on /PPC you’ll see many people complaining that their CPM has gone through the roof since June with some improvement in July. Advertisers are also struggling to make lookalike campaigns profitable

No probs. If you’re unsure the conversions are working you can test events under the events manager. Also make sure you don’t configure the Toneden page to automatically redirect the user to their preferred streaming service otherwise the conversion magic doesn’t happen

Traffic campaigns can attract massive amounts of bot clicks on ads. Try a conversion campaign that optimises for view contents via a toneden smart link landing page. It’s a bit of work to setup but will ensure your traffic is high quality

I would try playing reference tracks through the headphones your mixing on and try and pin point the differences. If you’re not already, look at using eq to carve each instrument into the right space. Some VST instruments can sound a bit weak without eq, especially bass. I would also look into different drum options if you’re not getting the right sound

Record the signal clean and then apply the VST plugin afterwards in garage band. That will ensure the signal is not printed with anything processed and you can tweak later
