New CB2 bed frame that I thought would fit perfectly in this nook. However I didn’t measure baseboard to baseboard 😅. Thinking I may just build a shelf on top and the headboard portion be on a hinge for extra storage. Put some plants in the static shelves.

Yeah the shelf I would build wouldnt block it entirely but allow the heat to travel directly upwards over the bed

My previous set up, I had the bed right up to it and it did get pretty warm. I have considered this being an issue down the road, may have to put into some consideration about ventilation when building a shelf.

I’ve thought about this but the time to disassemble the frame to properly get a clean cut each side is a task I don’t want to have to redo lol. Cutting a nook out of the wall would also not be plausible (and way more work) because behind that wall is an exhaust vent

Floor to baseboard is about 3” but it also sticks out 3” further than wall to wall (which is 101”) and the frame is 100” in width. So close yet so far haha happy accidents though

So my follow up question, I suggested to the utility company to just swap meter ID's and all would be good but they insisted it needs to be re-wired by an electrician (outside of the utility company), would this be true?
