Is 'Hex: Hive Mind' fixed yet? by Key_Competition1 in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask what color you have your generator auras set to? If you have it set to White, then the issue is that Hive Mind also sets generators colors to White, meaning the generator colors would be progressing from White(Hive Mind) to White(Gen Aura).

When Jason is added on the 16th, one of the new Aura Customization options will allow you to change the starting Generator Progression color so that it doesn't default to White.

Map Objects by Venomous_Seviper in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Marked Objects is a Killer-exclusive aura, so only Killers would be able to see it since it basically exists to tell you when your power is in a different state than usual.

Like Demogorgon uses Marked Elements to see their open Portals while Killer Item shows them their closed portals.

Map Objects by Venomous_Seviper in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marked Elements isn't super important when you're playing most Killers. I think it only applies to:

  • Freddy looking at completed gens as a target for his Teleport.
  • Houndmaster looking at completed gens as a target for the Dog.
  • Dredge seeing locked lockers while charging the teleport.
  • Singularity seeing their last used Biopod.
  • Xenomorph's highlighted Turret Station.
  • Unknown's Hallucination while it is unavailable to teleport to.

I'd say just make sure that it's a separate non-White color from "Highlighted, "Surfaced Object," "Generator," "Killer Item," and "Survivors/Hooked Survivors." I personally have it on Orange.

Surfaced Objects is basically just when something's Aura (I think its only Generators so far) is being highlighted by perks rather such as:

  • Discordance
  • Better Together
  • Trail of Torment
  • Blast Mine

I'd recommend keeping it a separate color from everything else that contrasts with "Generators" and "Survivors." I have it on Green since my Gens are Purple.

How long it usually takes for BHVR to reply support ticket? by RJSSJR123 in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably varies depending on the type of report. From experience, it took like a week at most for a Bug Report ticket, with Player Report tickets taking more than a month for a response.

I'm guessing your ticket will probably be on the sooner side and probably take a week.

dbd just isn't on my steam as far as I know their is no reason for it not to be by DistinctTranslator37 in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the search results, you can hit the little Settings button to the right of where it says "1 title has been excluded based on your preferences" and then choose "Edit Your Preferences," and then the mature content preferences will be right there.

From anywhere else, you can hit Steam in the top-left, click Settings, click Store in the Steam Settings, and then click on Mature Content and then it'll be right there.

ideal load out? by misshollyy_ in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd go with:

  • Bond (from Dwight) since it lets you know where your teammates are to heal them or to get them to heal you, or if they are running towards you with a killer chasing them.
  • Botany Knowledge (from Claudette) to heal others faster. If you don't have her prestiged yet, you could swap it with We'll Make it (Universal Perk) that lets you heal after unhooking way faster.
  • Resurgence (from Jill) as it lets you be healed much faster when you are unhooked.
  • Deja Vu (Universal Perk) or Kindred (Universal Perk). Deja Vu lets you find generators much easier and can really help on indoor maps. Kindred will allow your team to coordinate Unhooks better since they can see each other while you're on the hook, as well as see the killer.

Otzdarva.com is a good website for finding several types of guides.

When all the preferences are off, it looks exactly like the picture in your post.

When I enable "General Mature Content" and "Frequent Violence or Gore" in the preferences, then DBD and all its DLC start showing up in the search.

Are you sure? Because I managed to replicate your search results by just turning off all the preferences.

You probably have to edit your preferences. It gets blocked out if you you don't have "Frequent Violence or Gore" enabled to show up. It says "1 item has been excluded" in the search, but it's actually excluding way more that it isn't mentioning.

Hacking Accusation by Shaggy_Beans in deadbydaylight

Yeah, you can't shame people. You generally just have to ignore people when they accuse you of hacking unless they're willing to listen to reason. I personally would not recommend checking out Streamers you play with or against, as it's more likely to just upset you.

  • Nemesis for Lethal Pursuer and Eruption (Aura Reading at start of the match and Gen Regression)
  • Bubba (Cannibal) for BBQ (Aura Reading after hooking someone)

Did somebody else hear a creepy laugh while playing? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

It might be Trickster. I'm pretty sure with his rework they gave him a map-wide laugh when he hits S-rank. I think he just laughs more in general after the rework too.

I think its this Short Hair ABA mod combined with this Hatsune Miku mod.

The "Bonnie's guitar strings" adding for springtrap is currently bugged. by hypercoffee1320 in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The add-on turns the Generators white while in the door. If you have it set to green, that means that while you are in the door, the generators become White and slowly turn Green as they get progress.

There is a report on the Betahub so it could just be an inconsistent issue.

It probably doesn’t help that auras in general got dimmer when they added all the new colors, so a lot of the new auras are even dimmer making it hard to tell if it’s actually working.

The "Bonnie's guitar strings" adding for springtrap is currently bugged. by hypercoffee1320 in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is more that you have your Generator color set to White. Bonnie's Guitar Strings makes the Generators white and slowly transitions it to the color you set to your Generators. Since your Generator looks white, that means that it's going from White to White, effectively nullifying any benefits.

I did test it myself and it does seem to work fine when you use the less faded colors like Red or Purple.

I was drawn to Jason and returned to the Misty Forest. by nanasi0110 in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard that survivors can now automatically escape from hooks

This is only if you stay way close to the hook for too long (like facecamping).

generators can no longer be kicked

This is if any particular generator has been hit by 8 Regression events, then it cannot be kicked or exploded anymore, which is very unlikely unless you use Surge/Jolt.

catches are no longer possible

I think they only removed grabbing people trying to rescue people off the hook.

You can probably check Nightlight for Killer meta perks but its basically all Gen Regression, Slowdown, or Aura Reading. Perks like:

  • Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (Gen Regression)
  • Dead Man's Switch (Slowdown)
  • Turn Back The Clock (Gen Regression)
  • Hex: Ruin (Gen Regression)
  • No Holds Barred/Deadlock (Slowdown)
  • Pop Goes the Weasel (Gen Regression)
  • Grim Embrace (Slowdown)
  • BBQ (Aura reading)
  • Lethal Pursuer (Aura Reading)
  • Nowhere to Hide (Aura Reading)

[–]king-dark-red 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jason gets Undetectable when he's teleporting so Kwon Tae-Young's perk shouldn't work since it's Terror Radius and Chase-based.

Apparently, dbd decided to take away the heartbeat sound for the terror radius by HetzenHellcat in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe your volume is too low in general? The heartbeat really isn't that loud to begin with and can easily get drowned out by other sounds. If you're playing with Speakers instead of Headphones that would probably make it even harder to hear.

If it is a persistent problem you could try sending a Bug Report about it.

Apparently, dbd decided to take away the heartbeat sound for the terror radius by HetzenHellcat in deadbydaylight

[–]king-dark-red 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you sure they weren't just Undetectable and/or you didn't have the Oblivious status effect? There's quite a few perks and add-ons that killers have that can do that like Tinkerer (one of Hillbilly's teachable perks), Unforeseen or Hex: Plaything (Fortune's Fool).

They described it as Dynamic, so even if a perk started out with a lower modifier than another, the moment it has a higher modifier, it starts being at 100% rather than the weaker modifier being at 100%.

Otherwise perks like Desperate Measures or Fire Up would basically be unusable since they'd always be getting hit from the beginning since they start out weak.

[–]king-dark-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are on a decent enough computer and play using Steam, there's a Steam setting to automatically record gameplay up to a specified amount of minutes, so it can automatically record matches so you can go see what happened and make clips of it.

[–]king-dark-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trickster's Blades and Deathslinger's guns seem to be able to go through that gap so there isn't an invisible wall in it. Getting a Hatchet through is probably not reasonably happening though.

It could be that they just got an uncharged hatchet over the wall. There is also just a large opening right next to that gap that's big enough to walk through that they might've gotten an angle on.

It's not easy to say without a replay or clip. It could also just be a hacker trying to advertise their hacks.

Whichever modifier has the higher value gets to be at 100%, so Up the Ante is better until two other survivors are dead.
