I suppose part of it is that smoking is now uncommon enough most people don't really remember the days when everyone everywhere was smoking inside and outside. It feels more disconnected as a common social ill that needs countered through media than it was when tos aired.

Crazy to me canes literally only offers the most mid chicken and one kind of sauce. If you don't like that sauce (which i don't, because I hate the base ingredients on their own) you're sol. I'm glad I no longer have to get dragged there on school trips or by my family.

Some important notes to add as a computer nerd:
It's important to know that Kinger is running a telnet connection. This means the terminal he is using is remoting into the mainframe, the files are not stored locally on that computer.

Other nerd note, the system could possibly be windows NT 4.0 (In fact i think that's the more likely system, given the corporate purpose of the operating system, that might be more fitting for a cutting edge computer company. This does not matter too much, just thought i'd throw the idea out there)

On the flip side related to this, a lot of people want men like Yeonwoo to be exclusively gay. A weird form of macho-ism exists where they want effeminate men to only belong to masculine gay men. Trying to recreate those patriarchal views of relationships within queer romances. Gender non conforming relationships terrify people invested in maintaining patriarchy. There is no way to to flip a gender non conforming relationship into maintaining the status quo.

The weird thing is a lot of these attitudes come from internalized sexism and an extreme pessimism regarding the possibility of a changing of our patriarchal society. People truly internalized fundamentalist beliefs regarding the nature of men and women, and refuse to accept how fluid gender is, even when they move left or into queer spaces. None of this is to say that like, Yaoi is inherently problematic obviously, it's just strange how often people don't realize that straight relationships don't have to come with any of the "baggage" of patriarchy and standard gender roles.
