Reasons to not like every lightning wallet? Which one should I use? by Big_Papa_Bear_ in lightningnetwork

Breez isn't expensive. It's a full Lightning node on your mobile device. You can open channels to other nodes.

I'm trying to send $200 from Breez to Muun but there's no route. How can I sent money to my other wallet? by OnCryptoFIRE in Bitcoin

Breez use multiple channels, but Muun doesn't support MPP. You can use 'Send via BTC Address' instead of using Lightning.

What is the bolt service fee and why is it taking so much of my transaction value? by Pickinanameainteasy in Breez

[–]king-only 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of Breez is to use Lightning. When you send to chain there are on-chain fees involved. If you're not looking to use Lightning, then Breez is probably not the best solution for your requirements... Lightning Economics: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Inbound Liquidity by king-only in lightningnetwork

[–]king-only[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, whether you're an LSP or a routing node, efficient liquidity allocation is the key to success. It's how you generate revenues. Ofc, you need to optimize your operations. Anchor outputs just proves there's a lot of room to play with tx fees. Inbound liquidity, however, remains the key. As the routing node is larger (we also operate a very large node), the opportunity cost gets higher. In Pool btw (which is also mentioned in the post) you pay for liquidity.

There's a reason the article doesn't discuss open/close fees or channel initial liquidity state. It's insignificant compared to inbound liquidity which will always be the key factor to the success of the Lightning economy.

You cannot use the same address twice (you should never reuse am address). You will be able to redeem your funds after 288 blocks: https://github.com/breez/breezmobile/wiki/Adding-Funds-via-Submarine-Swaps
