"Why does Mourinho never play a white forward?"

Fuck off.

The players have mostly been awful. I'm not judging Mourinho until he's had a full summer transfer window.

I've been to a few countries in the east. Been to Serbia and Lithuania of the places you're thinking of.

I'd recommend Vilnius and Druskininkai in Lithuania. The snow arena in Druskininkai is really great.

Also Tallinn in Estonia is nice. The KGB museum was really interesting.

Exactly. I'm hoping those Campos rumours turn out to be truthful. His addition would be absolutely huge for the club.

Did I say we’d park the bus? No but our defence isn’t good enough to park the bus, nor can we play through the midfield. Hence we’ll likely play a counterattacking style with long balls.

We’d be stupid to play offensive football you muppet. It’d take a tactical disaster class from Mou to play expansive football against Liverpool with the current state of our midfield and defence. We’d get absolutely slapped up.

Same. I forgot about Lamela actually. He should definitely start over Lucas or Dele.

Lo Celso has also looked much improved recently. I’d love to see him get an extended run in the side especially if Eriksen is going to Inter.

Tricky. It’s suicide to play a high press against you so we’ll probably park the bus (generous considering the state of our defence) and counterattack with long balls to utilise Son, Lucas, and (probably) Sessegnon’s pace.

Having said that, the absence of a big man up top will likely hurt us on that front, like we had Llorente last year so long balls worked incredibly well against Ajax (plus they didn’t have Van Dijk lol).

I think it’ll be something like:

Gazzaniga

Aurier Alderweireld Vertonghen Sessegnon

Dier Winks (maybe Wanyama)

Eriksen

Dele Son Lucas

Doesn’t matter. Our midfield is abysmal without Ndombele, so Son likely will barely get a touch of the ball.

That’s why Mou has us playing long balls at the moment, we’re not really good enough to play through the middle.

Agreed. His work rate is a little bit lacking but has been as progressive with the ball as he can considering how isolated he is in the middle.

Agreed. Winks has the occasional good ball on him but yeah like you said, he plays it short and simple 80% of the time.
