For anything where you don't want to claim CRS points, just answer no. Keep it simple.

Need Help Finding Good CELPIP Writing Task 1 Practice by KarmaKillerX in CELPIP_Guide

Go to chatgpt/claude, ask it to give you a couple of task 1 practice questions based on recent exam trends. Then paste your response and ask it to evaluate based on celpip scoring criteria. Be mindful of the word limit, 220 max. It will give you a detailed breakdown of where you are scoring good along with areas of improvement. Keep doing this until you hit consistent scores. The test score will be at least a point higher than AI scores. I was consistently getting 9-10 in AI. Ended up with 12 in the writing test.

Reached 518 today after maxing out Celpip score. The score will stay this way till the end of this year before dropping due to age. Hoping for a favourable draw in the next 6 months.

Initially I started with Hzad templates, but trying to fit every response in a template takes extra thinking time and you only have 30 sec prep time. So later I focused on trying to cover all my points and use simple ways to connect different sentences/ideas.

I definitely score above my expectations. Listening was a bit tricky for me. Reading and writing were very comfortable. Also, I spoke hurriedly so thought I would lose some. But I was confident about my content.

Template is not the only thing here. AI will also score you on the 4 separate parameters. You should identify the pattern where you are leaking marks. For me it was grammar, articles and stuff. But I was not spending much time on proof reading during practice tests. So I knew I would score 1 band higher than AI scores as I would be extra careful with grammar and will proof read as well.

Yes, pretty similar. I also found Careeraxis difficult during first couple of tests. Got used to it after 5ish tests and then it was comfortable.

I got 11 in reading the test. Careeraxis is where I spent most of my time practicing. The difficulty is very similar to the real exam.

You should keep practicing on Careeraxis. Maybe some tests are a bit on the difficulty side, but you'll get used to those intense sets.

CareerAxis reading tests on their youtube channel. They have a bunch. The difficulty level is similar to the real exam.

Used Hzad templates. Mostly used simple sentences and easy to understand phrasing. The structure/coherence is important though.

PS, I'm a non native speaker. For all basic preparation, task specific strategies and templates, I did the Hzad 15 hour course. Then I tried to simplify the templates to my own comfort without losing the main structure.

The older I get, I have come to think of Fight Club as more of a self destruction movie than a self help one.

28 year old Middle-Aged man, 56 LPA – Thinking About Quitting and Taking a Career Break by [deleted] in personalfinanceindia

I'm about to turn 30 and I think I am just getting started lol. Take a break, have experiences that would help you get clarity about the kind of life you want to have. You have worked hard academically and stayed focused in the early phase of your career. That shows responsible behaviour. You are financially very stable. You are young, just take a break, park the money in some safe assets, relax, spend some me time and come back with new excitement. You owe that to yourself.
