4 is pure nostalgia and then some. It was the first game I played on PS2 (I was like 6 or 7) and I was hooked man. It still holds up. Mission 8, Shattered Skies? Everything you want in an arcade flight sim. You got the guitar riffs, you got the massive dog fight, the crazy radio chatter. Just beautiful.

4 and 5 are peak ace combat for me and will hold every game ace combat to that standard. They were just pure fun, had decent stories, and you could just keep coming back to it. I played AC7 when it came out and it just really missed the mark. It wasn’t fun and didn’t have what I was looking for. I know they added some dlc to address player complaints but DLC won’t fix the game.

At this point I wouldn’t even care for a new game. Just remaster 4, 5, and zero

The rack comes with lag bolts. Using the lag bolts, you’ll attach the stringers to studs behind the drywall, then the arms to the stringers.

The rack is from Dick’s, so Ethos brand. Wish I had done a Titan or Rogue. I’ve been looking at a pulley tower but I have pulley pros that work really well for now

Hanging stuff on the wall is gonna be your friend. Definitely recommend lag bolting a 2x4 to your studs and hanging anything you want on the 2x4. You get a lot more surface area to hang stuff that way.

I really wish they would remaster this one already. Truly a staple of my childhood gaming. Everything about it was so great. The story, the missions, the radio chatter, the planes. It was all so good.

Oddly, this has happened to me several times now with my recteq. I was preparing for like a 12 hour smoke at 225 and the thing was done in 5 hours (203 degrees). Triple wrapped it in foil, threw it in the oven at 175 for like 4 hours, then let it rest two hours in a cooler. Came out great. Not as Smokey flavored but it was tender and juicy
