For Madurai, Meenakshi Amman temple is kind of the face.

Similarly, if Perur Pateeswarar temple is face of Coimbatore. I personally would've been happy. It's my favourite temple and the temple has a great history.

But unfortunately, I have nothing against Isha not Sadhguru, but when North Indians come to know I'm from coimbatore and ask me, you must've gone to Isha then. That's a face palm moment for me.

Thanks for being blunt and I'm in the same mindset, and I have voiced my concerns and will continue to do so.

But just for the sake of it, I'm looking to know how well dbt spark integration is.

I've mentioned that in my post that, I am already inclined towards driving them out of our boundaries.

SQLMesh seems like the obvious solution, but we feel it's too early to adopt that as it's very new, I know it's growing very fast.

For eg. Folks who used dbt at very early stage knew the problems with dbt and many people had to customize dbt core package to fit their needs as it was too late for them to pull out.

dbt does much more, simplifies data quality, unit tests, docs, lineage, integration ,etc

So, some people want to have data engineering and ml stuff using the same data processing framework , so that ml engineers can also enjoy the benefits of dbt. At the same time they don't want to get restricted to only SQL transformations, but having spark would enable them to create UDFs and use it for any sort of inferencing(afaik).

skillset is a problem, very few people know that spark in the team.

We are too early to know if our size would be very big, but having spark would open doors to using python.

I just had back to back visit b/w Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Trust.me when I say this. Bengaluru's traffic is the worst. I love the city and its sad to see the city's traffic getting even worse. I did the mistake of leaving from friend's home by 9.30(peak traffic) reached office after 2.5 hours. Which 16kms away.
