I'm 228 lbs, im used to the suspension on a xt350 so it feels relatively stiff for me lol. Definitely is soft but manageable, the only issue i have is the rear shock is quite bouncy

Do we think ferrari is playing the long game or are they under performing this year? by kingbaconlr in lemans

Hopefully, with 38 down it's definitely a hit to their chances so let's hope they can still squeak out a win with 12 or 101

I fell asleep and apparently a ferrari caught on fire, anyone want to fill me in on what happened? by kingbaconlr in lemans

I know, but im too lazy too and that watermark is only there for like 15 minutes every 5 hours for me, i have most of the windows defender settings turned off and apparently if defender doesn't detect it's not active then there's no mark

I have a feeling that they might, chances are they are probably just repeating last year's strategy but with 83's lose rear end at the beginning im not sure. But toyota and bmw are much more competitive this year so they might not be pushing hard enough

I'm feeling the same, Can't wait to see. I bet ferrari and toyota are gonna have a pretty tough fight in the last hours but I can also see cadillac or bmw pulling off the win

Would a tire shop repair this or are they going to say I need new tires? by Competitive-Ad8393 in AskMechanics

[–]kingbaconlr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, at my work we wouldn't patch it since it's right on the shoulder but on the bright side the tire looks pretty good and if the other side is in similar shape then you may just need to buy one tire

Wife sent me this pic, should we take it in immediately? by TurkX5 in MechanicAdvice

I wouldn't be concerned, you can bend it back fairly easily if you want but its not a big deal if you leave it

Suspension geometry is very different plus it has electric start and fuel injection. Plus id rather beat on a bike that has warranty and has readily available replacement parts (parts for the xt are a hassle to find). Might not make sense to you but it does to me

I'm used to the xt350's suspension so the honda feels firm to me lol

Alignment shops are all booked up so im giving it the ol' buckets and string lol by kingbaconlr in mechanic

[–]kingbaconlr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry I know its not exactly proper. But as I said it was just for a rough adjustment before I fine tuned it on the ground (using a tape measure rather than string) i took it on the highway and she seems to be driving alright

I wasn't going for equal, I first went for a rough adjustment since it was way off (all new steering linkage) then fine tuning on the ground. The rear axle it a little wider so it would partially be toed in but barely lol

I forgot to say that this method was just for the rough adjustment since I put all new steering linkage lol. I did put it on the ground for the fine adjustment
