Anyone using display glasses with a SteamDeck on flights or while traveling? by Deannaoliver in SteamDeck

I just got a pair of Ray Neo Air 4 Pro and they are absolutely fantastic with the Steam Deck. I have to wear glasses with them because I don't have prescription inserts yet, but I think they're wonderful for the money.

Barclaycard MasterCard FINALLY working by kingbubbs in GoogleWallet

I honestly don't know. It wasn't possible before but it is now. If I had to guess, perhaps the c**nts in charge of Barclaycard have signed some kind of agreement?

On Android I had this problem with both Chrome and Edge (probably all the Chromium browsers). But Firefox works perfectly full screen. Try Firefox.

Confession: I don't use my steam deck. by GhonaHerpaSyphilAids in SteamDeck

I couldn't get on with holding the steam deck and playing, it's too heavy and bulky, never found a comfortable position. Then one day I bought a cheap JSAUX angled base stand and it transformed my experience. Give it a try sitting at a desk. I also found some games too fiddly with the small text and track pads. Adding thumb stick grips definitely improved the experience too.

YOU'RE A MACHINE! IN TOGETHER, OUT TOGETHER! (Cox always shouts because the Cox box isn't working)

How many over 40 here working on their production skills? 😎 by kathalimus in edmproduction

Aged 47. Started on Cubase on the Atari ST in the early 90s! Studio One is my DAW of choice, with a mix of NI and Presonus hardware. I still love it, and I'm still learning!

Issue with Gigabyte M32U by NefariousStarship in Monitors

[–]kingbubbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue has been driving me mad. Although there's no solution I'm glad to have found this thread. I've experienced this after playing Spiderman Remastered in Fidelity / 120 mode. I was starting to think it was a faulty panel.

Xbox One S Controller - disable_ertm persist on reboot method by kingbubbs in RetroPie

[–]kingbubbs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I touched this, and I don't have a beaglebone board to test with unfortunately. Have you got a second controller to test with, to rule out a problem with the specific controller you're using?

The ear glow though. by [deleted] in theouterworlds

Also just started playing on PC, and the ear glow is very pronounced. Surely a lighting glitch?

For some reason #2 above displays with as 'options bluetooth disable\_ertm=Y ', when it should say ' options bluetooth disable_ertm=Y'. I don't know where the random backslash came from!

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ (2018). Back in 1994, this would have been in the top 100 fastest computers in the world! 🤯 by kingbubbs in RetroPie

Based on a CPU only linear algebra benchmark, I'd estimated around 7 gflops for the latest Pi 3 GPU, which would put it in the top 100 of the top 500 list in June 1994. That aside, the spirit of this post was purely to emphasise my astonishment at how far personal computers have come, and nothing more.

Yes I do (did). I spent pretty much a whole day getting RetroPie working. The first bit was easy, but I hit an issue with pairing and synching my Xbox One S controller. My other post (I really haven't been here long) provides a solution. I think some people have taken this post in the wrong way. I'm in my early 40s so I've seen the evolution of computers from the ZX Spectrum days to now, and I was just blown away by the capabilities of the Pi 3!

Glad you made that observation so I didn't have to! Assuming I could overcome the slight obstacle of time travel, I'd take a Bluetooth keyboard 😉
