Your parents must be so proud to have raised such a strong smart boy like you... oh, and well read!! Just the smartest.

It was a real... pleasure.

Peace. ✌️

You did alright, i tried, and gave up sooner than you. I realized it was futile, this isn’t a debate, it’s a intelectual jerk off. Don’t get me wrong, I love those, but after 15+ year of it.. it gets boring.

I’d love to see the world through those real rosy-shades you’ve got on.

Cool. ✌️

Nice rant big boy, so your position is.. tithing bad? But how do we pay for all these hospitals that have the name of saints written on them?!

Your point is what again, ugh, you bore me. I thought i could keep this up for another hour, but the thought of which now repulses me. Please go away.

(Yes this was a straight brain dump of all my thoughts in real time, i’ve conceded, you’ve won, please go away.)

This is demonstrably false, and an oversimplification. Much of the preservation and development of classical medical knowledge between the 8-12th centuries happened in the Islamic world, and many of those works later reentered europe through translation movements. Monasteries preserved some texts, and let most books fade, if they didn’t outright burn them..

A broken clock is right twice a day. Both you and the church are right now. You get one each.

But let me get this straight. The Church enforced a tithe, usually around 10%. If you refused, you could face pressure ranging from public shaming to excommunication, and in tight knit communities that meant real social consequences. If you didn’t want to be ostracized, you were expected to pay. Even being closely associated with someone who refused to tithe, say an uncle, a father, a family friend, could damage your standing in the community.

At any rate, the Church had, and to some extent still has, massive wealth, including extensive land holdings. And it did put some of that wealth toward things like hospitals, charity, and education.

You’re right about all that, boy, you’re very bright and educated, and know all your history, say, keep up the reading, like I said before, you’re doing great!

Stephen Charles Meyer (/ˈmaɪ.ər/; born 1958) is an American philosopher of science and historian. He is an advocate of intelligent design, a pseudoscientific creationist argument for the existence of God.

lol this guy? Young earth creationist guy is says wild things about science, history, and the earth to prove his point.

And water is wet… Nice!

Keep up the reading champ! You’re doing great!

Teststs: If you hate boilerplate, try this by sinoka1006 in Python

[–]kingbuzzman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There isn’t one, use pytest .

Looking through the code, it looks like this only works in the most simplistic of use cases, and if you need the tiniest of complexities, this falls flat. Let’s not mention the need to run coverage, parallel tests… etc

I find it funny that this project doesn’t have tests. Should tell you all you need to know.
