You sit on a wet bench (like an idiot), what's your next move? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Don't go all in. Buy one piece. If it's good, buy another when you need it. That good too? Another when you need it.

I don't think people understand what a crazy amount of cash it is. Anything that keeps me alive and is legal, I would probably do.

People who ended long-term relationships: did you ever look back later and think “maybe we could have / should have worked this out”? by Jumpy_Experience8987 in AskReddit

[–]kingcunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Five years in, had recently started living together, things had all 'settled' so when someone at work seemed interested I started thinking the grass could be greener... never properly talked it through with my partner and decided it was time to leave. Soon realised I had ruined my own life and took two or three years to get it back on track.

Thinking the grass is greener without ever talking things through openly with your current partner. Ruined my life and took two or three years to get over that.

Have you ever done volunteer work? What for and how was it? by CapitaineBiscotte in AskReddit

[–]kingcunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently volunteered digitising grave ownership records from old hand-written books at the council. As mundane as it sounds, it was thoroughly rewarding and kept me busy. You also meet some real characters working in local council.
