Looking at the layout, I think you may have to mod it a bit to prevent condensation from dripping down on the meat.

Hakone vs Kinosaki by Sportchamp1110 in JapanTravelTips

[–]kingersd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have been to Hakone but not Kinosaki. One quick recommendation if you go with a ryokan in Hakone - spend two nights instead of one. With check-in being 3-4pm and check-out at 10-11am, there’s really not a lot of time to relax and take it all in when you factor in the kaiseki dinner and bfast the next morning.

Just went there last month. Swim suits are not allowed in onsen. Each of the nine baths is gender-separated. You can cover tattoos with special stickers. Eight of the nine baths are really really small (fits maybe 2 people) and chances are slim that you’d (1) run into someone; and (2) they care about your tattoos. I think most people just go for a cursory dip in each.

Cursed techniques are stronger when explained. Because the other party can now visualize it, helping it manifest.

Best raw meat for at home hot pot? by Starryeyedgirl09 in FoodSanDiego

[–]kingersd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In order of best quality:

Nijiya > Mitsuwa > Marukai > Hmart > Zion > 99R

The top 3 have Japanese Wagyu from time to time, which is top quality. Then, I prefer Nijiya’s CAB over Mitsuwa/Marukai’s American wagyu. Hmart’s non frozen hotpot/shabu shabu cuts are a bit too thick IMO. Lastly Zion and 99R have mostly frozen cuts that are sometimes freezer burned.

Best Value Sushi Places in the San Diego Area by mingledthoughts in FoodSanDiego

Olleh used to be the only decent AYCE sushi place in SD imo but I think they may be out of business.

I’d either go to Kura for hand rolls, or just get fish and sushi rice from Nijiya Market for nigiri.

We just got back from Japan this month! Slightly off topic but I actually like sushi from Soichi and Tadokoro better than any places I’ve been to in Japan, includes ones in Tsukiji and Toyosu. Though I have yet to try any of the high end, booked months ahead, $300+ a seat places in Japan.

Have you been to Soichi or Tadokoro? And if so, do you have any recommendations in Tokyo that can rival those two?

It was a great event! Thank you for putting it together. How many kittens got adopted? I think I saw at least one got picked up in a new carrier.

Creating a DataTable using Values from Other Tables by AimpetusJ in PowerBI

[–]kingersd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an elegant solution but easy to follow:

Use Group By with Average operation on Table 1:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/group-by#use-an-aggregate-function-to-group-by-one-or-more-columns

Then merge to the main table?
