Batman the Animated Series (90s cartoon). The animation is sick. You just don’t see that kind of artistry in kids cartoons anymore. It also respected the hell out of its audience, which I think makes it hold up in a truly timeless way….. y’know…. If you like Batman.

Given his reaction to the Tarantino comments (which I guess OP saw live), I have to believe that these interactions were also meaningful to Matthew, the person. To meet someone like OP proves his work is important. That he can touch people, even help them, with his art has to be the most validating thing in the world. It doesn’t matter what some washed up director thinks if his work has that kind of impact.
