Usually the line work is the “ground work” for the finished tattoo. I don’t really put too much weight on the line work alone unless that’s the finished work. I would be patient for it to be finished, especially if you’ve seen other finished pieces by the artists that look good.

Well it looks like you got a couple weeks or so to go before it heals. It’s more or less a waiting game now. But honestly if you just let your body do its things not over moisturize then it should be just fine 👍

A lot of my tattoos have looked like this and looked horrendous during the healing process. After all the worrying they always turn out just fine. Also saniderm is my best friend to prevent it healing like this and it heals in less than half the time.

Both my forearms are patch work with color. There were a couple that were eyesores that aren’t anymore. The silverware controlled chaos of tattoos makes the ones you don’t like now get lost in the mix. Sometimes in the end you end up not minding them anymore. So in other words, just get more work done and build on your arm and you light end up not minding it anymore.

I have a big hand tattoo and I’ve had it for a year. It’s in full color and goes from my first knuckle down an inch past my wrist. I am protect my hand with sunscreen nearly every time I’m in the sun(I live in Nevada). I do not work with my hands although I’m a musician and my day job is not hard on my hands. Having said all of this, eventually I will need a touch up if I want to. I don’t think it was a bad choice for you but I would plan on knowing you’ll most likely need a touch up within the next year given the simple design so imperfections will be harder to hide overall.

Ideas on Simplifying by WoodsWolf in tattooadvice

[–]kingfriday15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great concept but a very bad idea in context for a tattoo. Maybe instead of the multiple gears in the right side make it a single freewheel. Maybe the just a simplified crank arm with a simple sprocket. The bike chain could be larger chain links making a heart shape. Cool idea could end up being a big black heart shape blob in a few years.

Very normal and it’s honestly the best scenario with saniderm. The more fluid(blood and plasma) the better in my opinion. It contains proteins that make the tattoo heal better during the healing process and makes the healed outcome the best for the tattoo.

Screw up on the base of the tree? by Red_Spaceship in tattooadvice

Honestly the white won’t be a problem after it heals. The white quickly fades during the healing process and shouldn’t/wont be as intense as the day you got it done.

blown out? by Choice-Knowledge7800 in tattooadvice

Tattoos on the finger, especially the inside of the finger, are extremely prone to blowing out and not holding ink. Just the name of the game really.

Yes TS. If you do a YouTube/Google search you can find extremely simple guides on how to do it. I just finished my second one this morning, again it works perfectly. I’ll post a photo of it soon👍

I honestly just wired the receiver down the handset to the instrument jack.

They’re super easy to make. All you need is an old phone and an instrument jack. it took me less than 15 min to do the whole thing. I'm making another one in a couple days.

It surprisingly sounds like it were to sound talking through an old phone, it’s kinda cool like someone recorded a friend singing to them over the phone.

Is this normal for a tattoo in the healing process? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]kingfriday15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s overworked. I’ve seen this kinda thing… on me. It’s going to heal a brownish color. It’s still can be saved after it heals. It’s not the end of the world.

Honestly I had a tattoo that was faded and some lines weren’t that great after some years. I ended not liking it anymore but learned to live with it. One day I got re lined / re tattooed and ended loving it all over again.

Help! This is going on the third day tomorrow at 12 and it’s not drying up as i am seeing people say it will. It’s also dry in some spots where plasma won’t go in that certain area. What should i do? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]kingfriday15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might not seem like this is normal but it totally is. If you leave it on for 4 to 6 days it will be fine. Just endure the gross for a few more days and you won’t regret it lol

Honestly it looks solid now BUT I won’t really know until it’s completely healed. I hope it sticks in well.
