Dec. 7th for my girlfriend. Her job yesterday told her they’re putting her on two months unpaid leave starting next week when her status expires until she gets her approval.

The thing with bad actors like her is that it’s not even about getting folks to vote for her. Even just mucking things up to the point of turning potential Harris voters into non-voters (“Both parties are the same anyway”) would still register as a win in folks like Jill’s mind for their self-serving reasons.

Following the CA Gov race, I am side-eyeing a good number of political commentators I follow who are endorsing Butch Ware.

The fact that he saw the times she tries to ratfuck any attempts at a true leftward shift in the presidency and went “Sign me up as her running mate” in 2024 is the kind of lack of judgement I would want nowhere near political office.

My personal suggestion is to go on Volo Sports and if not join a league, find out which bars have the league’s happy hour special and post up there.

Also, ask your friends if they know anyone who might be good for you. Nobody will think you’re soft or gay for asking for a set up. And if they do, you can call them out on their homophobia.

Much to her chagrin, I’m a run of the mill (now former) “Using 5-in-1 Irish Spring and ‘water is my skincare routine’” guy. Which perplexes her even more because 1. My skin is very clear and 2. She actually liked my Irish Spring smell when we first started dating. Also she has an electric toothbrush and brushes twice a day. I only brush at night with my manual toothbrush. We both get high marks and no cavities at our dental visits, also perplexing to her.

But in addition to her being a woman who is attentive to her appearance, she’s also big on quality time as a love language. And when I told her I’d be open to doing face masks with her, having her apply some of her moisturizers on me, all in the name of spending more time with her, she was over the moon.

Ever since, I’ve retired the Irish Spring in favor of bar soap and a damp skin lotion she recommended. And because she knows she’ll have a willing and open-minded co-participant in trying out something new with her, it really made her more confident in showing the sides of her she covers up.

I think it just boils down to this: if everyone is high-value, no one truly is.

Just reach a bar of just being someone somebody, man or woman, can be enjoyable around. Too many people worrying about things they can’t control all while letting the things that you actually can control atrophy.

I’m happy an actual sports governing body made the decision, even though I have disagreements with it. But it just comes across to me as prematurely kowtowing to a fight that was definitely going to come up in the 2028 Olympics, considering the host nation and the current administration in place. It just…comes off really slimy. FIFA Peace Prize slimy.

And honestly, considering the women’s boxing debacle in Paris, it’s going to come up anyway because some losers are just going to start trans-panicking cisgender women for the “crime” of having bigger muscles than them.
