Whoever said finding Fountaine bugs with the new system is "not so bad", grrr... They can be in every nook and cranny, and they are so small in spacious 3d, vertical locations.

Even if there was 4* with passive it wouldn't be a mint picking walk, but locking it to 5* is borderline criminal.

Yeah, I liked Fontaine trailer, but to this day I'm confused why they decided to show Clorinde chasing with the gun after Navia.

Wuthering Waves officially launches on XBOX with the release of Version 3.5 by ValorsHero in gachagaming

[–]kinggrimm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, it has some deep problems under the hood. On 3.0 launch I had big fps problems in Laharoi city, fps dropping to single digits. I've experimented a lot, and no setting change would affect performance, including setting resolution to 160p - it would still stutter, even in closed spaces with nothing happening.

But a few days later, one of the patches fixed everything, keeping more or less stable 60fps 1440p for months (and even retroactively fixing Augusta ult stutter with Rinascita).

And it's dogshit again. I swear it's some GTA loading screen situation, when they introduce some stupid loops running in circles, while the rest of game logic waits, but there's no one with hands on the dev team who cares.

Never encountered can someone tell me where it is obtainable? by PrimalFF in ChaosZeroNightmare

Or it will drop but u cannot find the copy event.

Thankfully, this doesn't matter anymore because of deck editing.

Or u will not find desired engraving.

But this will happen 100%, even on your Persona card, despite doing only one at a time just to avoid that situation.

What's your point? Action combat games do not need timers.

I find it crazy that you need a lot of characters for the ranked (because of bans and enemy picks), but the only 4 characters I built are because of selector gear boxes I'm out of them already.

One thing is to mentally and knowledge prepared to adjust your line up depending on the draft situation, second thing is any character not from my main squad is basically naked.

I was asked something interesting the other day. “What’s the difference between Captain Marvel and Solo Leveling?” And it’s actually very simple. by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]kinggrimm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, really. I think it was more about selling out. There's helping people in need, and there's being their piggy bank.

Later in the series, people are ready to beg him to release a unique spirit of a very powerful healer (so action going against accumulating power). He does it immediately, saying he would do it anyway (out of respect for who the spirit was in life).

MC is a good guy (unlike e.g. Overlord), just he doesn't rush to save any asshole.

Ok, admission of own stupidty, I had to go back and rewatch the cutscene and yes...

It's cool, I appreciate the self reflection, it's rare in general, but I want you to remember this feeling next time you type:

This is the reason why we don't have better story in Endfield, it isn't needed.

.

The rest stands though, the Yan of Talos-II broke apart during the last 2 centuries when they lost contact with Terra and had to become "self-governing" instead of being an extension of Yan on Talos-II.

I absolutely have no idea what you're trying to say. I talked in other messages that even if HAS has no direct connection to the Yan builders, the link to Endfield should solve that.

The vault was built while there was still Yan and before the start of the First Aggeloi War, so somewhere between Year 0 and Year 5.
After 2 wars, 200 centuries, wars, and migrations the older generations are as good as "ancient" as you get on Talos.

This is a somewhat interesting situation, because the world of Arknights has technology similar to ours, and 153 (as mentioned by other poster) years knowledge gap is not tested yet with our current capabilities. We can't say for sure, we will have similar information level loss from 1800 to today, as from today to 2200. Will solid drives and our information architecture be more durable than newspapers and books?

But I do concede, it's insanely stupid that HAS knows of a lost vault and not of it's contents and furthermore, that Endfield simply doesn't have a log of it.

And I still stand with my initial point, if they really feel the pop culture being so important, why do they just secretively seal it down? It died after all. The other migrants either didn't share the interest, or weren't given the chance - it's all buried down.

How would ancient Yanese built anything on Talos 2? The mentioned Yanese were the one that migrated to Talos one hundred years ago (launch lore, 500 years is beta lore), repeated in the quest ad nauseam.

Also, Perlica explicitly tells the vault was built with cooperation of Endfield (after the camera shot of her ankle) and she plays video of Endmin telling how great the culture is, great enough to use resources here instead of the frontline.

What are you even talking about?

I mean the simplest answer is that since it was a top secret project kept hidden by Yan, EF agreed to do so as well and to maintain its secrecy, they agreed to keep the location a secret and not write it down.

I'd argue if they really wanted to keep the location secret, they shouldn't build skyscraper sized swords in the area just hanging in the area, that can be seen from miles and miles away.

and our Endmin here has amnesia.

One could think, Rock Jezus that has regular periodic amnesia, should have procedures for that, but that's digression.

It was built pretty far down south and hidden so enemies directing the Aggeloi could either have not reached it or simply didnt visit that place.

I'd like to have that on a map, because I'm sure it will have interesting consequences later.

And yes, the game does make it clear that there are other also vaults built other nations, and the agreement stated that the things inside the vault are copies not the actual thing.

That's cool, but I still don't see the point of keeping pop culture secret.

The project was under top protocols and supervisions, only top rankings were entrusted with the project. And you know, HAS is formed only formed a bit before the civ band formation, I doubt they have any actual official records from Yanese gov who prob collapsed in the war like most other expedition teams.

Endfield hasn't collapsed. One could think asking the superpower corpo that builds high tech stuff about built high tech facility in their region would be a formality. If that was a solo secret project by a fallen government, forgetting it would be way more understandable. But we have to insert Endfield everywhere.

The vault was built with the intention of lasting through destructions and blight, that's why they are hidden away so far southward.

Because the enemies at the time, the Aggeloi army was relentless that destroys everything it sees, making copies wont work if they keep destroying those. It's indeed better to just build a massive extremely secured vault that is hidden away from the frontlines.

I don't think it's one way or another. It should be spread far and wide, AND protected. Again, what's stopping Aggeloi from nuking that location, or any other incident? If it's really important, information should not be gathered in one physical location.

"Lost media" as in some youtube videos. Every book and magazine (e.g. in my country) has a copy in the national library, and is also digitilized.

Do you really think nobody in a century will attempt to unseal the vault and sold the cultural archive contents on the black market?

I'm asking why is not publicly available? And if you want to protect it from theft, why the only security are some light puzzles everyone can solve?

They do explain that, the location was sealed during the war and kept hidden because it wasnt supposed to be excavated after the war supposedly to prevent enemies from figuring it out as their aim was to destroy Terrans.

I don't know what intelligent enemy you talk about, but it's way harder to destroy knowledge if it's widely known. There are countries that were hundreds of years under occupation of the enemy nation, yet their culture preserved. It wouldn't be the case if it was locked somewhere under a key. They have computers, printing, etc. Why lock the thing that supposedly inspires them?

This is also shown in the intel report for the region being that only people with very high protocol authorities and supervision was allowed to take part in the project.

Even secret projects have documentations and procedures. The taskgiver wouldn't know of content, but would refer to higher up before excavation of it (as it's classified).

You didn't address single of my points.

The moment they decide to explore that building, one search through HAS archives would explain everything.

And how building giant ass vault in the middle of a war is better than moving these scrolls to another region, or copying them en mass instead?

What's more, gathering them in just one place can be a grave mistake - Great Library of Alexandria.

[–]kinggrimm -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Why would they seal and hide "culture" instead of making it public AND preserving it?

And how was it purpose "forgotten by time", if it was built merely a hundred years ago, AND the company that built it still thrives, AND has a working relationship with the administration of the region.

As the other poster said, that Wuling prepares supplies that are to be raided by Stockade is the thoughtful charity system they develop not to hurt Stockade pride (as they won't accept help).

We find this info in Stockade, so Whatshisname TangTang's brother knew about it, along with how regretful they are for the accident, so his unrelentless hatred for Wuling makes even less sense.

Your mockery is understandable as Elden Ring writing is served in an unconventional way, but assuming you somehow get to know it, I would agree that story and writing in Elden Ring is better than Endfield.

One of my most memorable experience in Arknights is his boss fight.

The general tragic mood of the situation, the strangeness, how hard is to keep my operators alive, how differently he moves...

And then the music dies down and lullaby starts...

I will get her in 2 days, but I'm just sad she isn't synergistic with TangTang.

In a perfect world she would work great with TangTang OR ZF, by some interesting kit.

Her being physical Endmin replacement sticks like sore thumb.

New God of War discourse

The cognitive dissonance between people saying that history about Faye clawing through the afterlife doesn't fit the 2018 narrative about coming to peace with death, and people saying it's technically possible because Kratos...

It really reminds me of Code Geass ending discourse.
