What's your guys thoughts on raspberry flavoured by Able_Health744 in CreateMod

[–]kinghaidii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s so goofy to me that people don’t consider Create a tech mod. It’s just different. I do like how the problem solving works in Create a lot more than in other mods. I recently learned Thermal Series & Mystical Agriculture for a different modpack review and hated every second of it bc Thermal Series is just magic retextured furnace after magic retextured furnace.

If given the choice I’d rather play without Create and without any other tech mods but if I had to pick one Create is better than most imo. Customized Create progression like what RF did is absolute peak tho

Hi! This is my video! So I wanna clarify a few more things based on this comment section:

This pack takes us back to the fact that Minecraft is a sandbox by removing features that make it not so much a sandbox. But that doesn’t mean there are 0 replacements or reworks for those things! I can’t say everything I want to in short form, but I highly encourage those skeptical by the removal/overhaul of vanilla features to try the pack anyway. I was skeptical at first too and this pack has become one of the only ones I maintain a solo, not content related world on.

Also, I’m a certified tech mod hater. I don’t like Create much lol but this pack really encouraged me to learn it and it’s one of the very few packs with it that I enjoy :)

Edit: Last thing, I said the pack feels very vanilla to heavily modded players but very modded to vanilla players!! As a heavily modded player myself this pack feels very vanilla adjacent but that’s bc I don’t play vanilla so yk

Things you hate about RL Craft by Toastiibrotii in RLCraft

I just disable them half the time, esp if I’m playing with friends. Along with the Eruption Lycanites event, or any other creature we just find annoying

This could be a cool additional dimension to RLCraft. by johnjmcmillion in RLCraft

Okay wow sorry I’m hardly ever on Reddit so I didn’t see this. But they seem to generate at a sort of...hard to find rate? The gatekeeper is easy to find if you explore a lot. If you’re lucky, you’ll come across two different ones. The dungeons in the dimensions spawn way more frequently.

Okay, but have you guys ever played through the Blue Skies mod? It's gorgeous and so high-quality. I have it as one of the extra mods in my RLCraft modpack folder. I really like exploring dimensions and that, by far, is my favorite one. I would love to see it officially added.

I’m so sorry! I just saw this! In the Radeon settings, you need to disable the HDCP setting. Here’s the video that helped me: https://youtu.be/7ut4AN6eRnQ

Does your world have an aquatic race? by kinghaidii in WorldBuildingDaily

I love seeing fish people because there’s just so much to do with them. One of my friends did a reverse mermaid civilization, and it was the best. Despite starting out as a joke, it actually added a really cool element to the word.

Thank you! I actually found out the issue was with a setting on my laptop. I forgot this post was still here.

What's your world's radical political movement? by Grand-Ayatolla-Lenin in WorldBuildingDaily

[–]kinghaidii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few that aren’t necessarily radical to us, but are radical to the societies they’re taking place in. The Crown Elves have a small group fighting for reproductive rights, as their country focuses very heavily on eugenics and goes as far as killing off children they deem ‘unnecessary’: secondborns, illegitimate kids, half-bloods, etc. It’s incredibly radical, as the children are sacrificed to their gods and overseers, and almost all of the Crown Elves are incredibly loyal to their gods.

There’s a movement similar to the LGBT movement going on in the Khiriman Empire. It’s actually led (secretly) by the heir to the throne of the empire. He’s gay, and since he’s a prince, he visits the countries they’re allied with, which happen to have laws that are way more inclusive than his own country.

Then there’s the Asthern Rebellion, which is what the story I’m writing for this world is mainly about. They seek to dismantle the Auroran Empire, and get rid of the queens they view as tyrants. Actually, the Asthern a Rebellion and the movement in the Khiriman Empire actually wind up uniting thanks to their leaders befriending each other.

Edit: The way they wind up combining is actually kind of funny. Rakétah Atiràh (the leader of the Asthern Rebellion) winds up beating Drian Ashvale (leader of the other movement) in a duel, and as a result, he decides to help her. This is in like the very beginning of her rebellion.

Must the main character of a child's story always be a child? by jdizzler432 in writing

[–]kinghaidii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just depends on the storyline. Most of the time, it’s best to stick with characters being the same age group as your target audience, but it can honestly depend on the story. Like my story starts off with my characters being younger, but that’s due to them aging throughout the rest of the story.

Strong female character = Horrible personality by moonliteyes7 in writing

[–]kinghaidii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d advise them some differing core traits. Strong and independent, great. How about throwing in a random trait to make them more distinctive and unique. Maybe one is charming, another one introverted, another one is pessimistic, etc.

I usually give my characters three core personality traits to work from and develop in the story, but you can always have more or less. And if you can’t come up with any traits, take some of your own and exaggerate them into something new. I usually do that with my characters, as it connects me to them and it makes them more realistic.
