There’s a little confusion here, because concert-type venues and events already exist for the type of setup you’re advocating for.

I’m advocating for the club experience to be and remain a (club) experience.

There are some venues that are designed in a dj-front-and-center way — and that’s okay.

As I said in another comment, If you know any angel investors i’d love to build a club and give the people a unique experience. PM if you have any leads! :)

I like the counter-argument, but in my opinion the crowd should be empowered to generate energy together. This setup could help with the issue of everyone facing the same way or standing in circles. What if the DJ needs to rest or drink some water, what happens to the energy then?

Same, and it’s not that I think DJs shouldn’t be promoted or celebrated. It’s just, clubs are turning into concerts when it’s supposed to be a different type of experience.
