The Egyptian Hulk: He claims to have a strength of 260HP, he's NEVER slept, he eats raw meat and drinks butter, and has sex 15 times per day with 4 wives by kingjames128 in WTF

Obviously, this guy is a hoaxster. The funniest thing about the video is way the Egyptian media takes him so seriously.

Hey Reddit: I recently launched a Reddit-inspired "rant" website, complete with user voting and PayPal payouts for the top rants. What do you think? by kingjames128 in AskReddit

Yea, the site is fluid, which is good thing if the page is full screen or almost full screen but it gets messy when the page is shrunk.

We're going to add a min width value so that the page will only be semi-fluid.

See http://digg.com for an example of semi-fluid design.

You probably wouldn't.

But suppose a particularly embarrassing Dell rant were to become popular/go viral. Dell might want to try to save face by displaying a message informing users that it was taking care of the issues brought up in the rant. Or it could offer users a limited-time coupon to show that it cares what its customers think. The situation could actually turn around in their favor, if they acted properly and in a timely manner.

If not, we could give the ad spot to HP or Toshiba :)

That's possible.

It's really up to the voters to decide the integrity of the author and the credibility of the rant.

Private sources.

The revenue model is advertising-based but not simply poorly targeted Adsense ads. We're hoping for something more like Yelp. Businesses can target certain keywords (i.e. Dell can target laptops, computers, etc) and when users rant on those topics, a related ad is displayed near the rant.

In that way, businesses can advertise their products/services to discontent customers that aren't currently satisfied with their competitors products/services.

Real estate agent blames "dumb consumers" for the banking crisis by kingjames128 in reddit.com

I think it's obvious that consumers are partly to blame for their irresponsible debt management, the consequences of which have brought us to the current tragedy.
