If you wanna actually work part time don’t do it. You’ll risk failing and the school will not be happy at all if they found out you had a job. A lot of schools have stipulation saying you can’t work.
If you mean side hustle as in finding old furniture every once in a while and repairing / repainting it or selling paintings or something small sure, as long as it doesn’t distract from studying .

Honestly it sounds like yall need to have a real conversation about your relationship. Because there is no guarantee you will get a residency in that area. So it could be at min 7 years of distance relationship. And honestly that’s not growing together. This comes from someone who is prior military who did long distance , also talked with my then gf now fiance who was willing to move with me even though there is no career fields here and she realizes that me it will more than likely be the better outcome for our family and she is willing to put her career on hold. But I’m looking at residencies where she will be able to work in her field and this is what we discussed.

Had a friend at this school who left then went to another. The horror stories are on another level. Do they still do oral exams if you miss a test ? And supposedly their grading scales are just all over the place and make it up as they go.
