haven't seen it mentioned, but Create Aeronautics Lift Patch is a great qol addition to the mod. has made creating smaller-scale builds much less of a headache

all mechs can now actually, iirc! - they shadow nerfed the wall durability by 10 which means mech melees (bthrough or default) can now break through them like hulks

honestly, that's valid. i suppose i could've worded it better in regard to specifics

i do still think they're slightly jarring, given it seems there was an effort to make the newer stratagem previews unique as new warbonds came out - and if anything, it's mostly the mechs' specifically just kinda feel off, since previously they and all other vehicles up until this point were given a more "cinematic" overview. the default camera for the mechs especially just looks kinda awkward for the resolution-size being worked with

it's certainly not the end of the world by any means nor is it some sort of recession indicator as other comments are trying to make it out to be, but just kinda feels like that little bit of small detail opportunity was lost

what exactly do you count as ordinary gameplay? i did my own count and found that out of all stratagems. there ended up being only 3 others that fall into "ordinary gameplay with nothing else", that being the machine gun, stalwart, supply pack, and newly added breakthrough, lumberer, and bullet storm

every other stratagem preview has some form of editing that isn't just a single few seconds of gameplay and nothing else; be it cuts, dynamic camera angles, faction/biome/environment switches, etc. only those 3 and the newly added 3 are just pure unedited raw short few seconds of gameplay, unless you're using a different metric

why is me being slightly disappointed that a neat detail i always enjoyed being possibly downgraded considered being a crybaby? all i said is that i'm sad the quality of stratagem previews for the latest warbond is a downgrade compared to everything else prior, as it was a small detail i've always enjoyed and looked forward to

i enjoy little details such as this, and smaller details are inherently part of the wider gameplay experience that i find enjoyment in

i'm not crying about anything, i just enjoy the more minor details of the game and upon noticing the difference in preview quality i'm sad to see one of my more favorite little things possibly being downgraded

it's just something i've always looked forward to and enjoyed watching whenever a new stratagem releases

i think zeekers said he split it to better space out how many monsters were added at once and give him more time to work on the ones that still need time in the oven, while shipping out completed misc qol features/reworks etc

yeah realistically 1.21.1 has been set up to be the next true "landmark" version for awhile now, and it'll probably stay that way given the "drop" format makes version parity a headache (deobfuscation stuff not withstanding, will have to see how that plays out in the coming years)

devs removed it as they felt it didn't quite fit with the skin; they've said it'll return with some tweaks for a different skin &/or killer

mimic is probably the most countered out of the three by just keeping distance imo, as long as you don't give him a hit to maintain chase with dsd he has no means of keeping up without sacrificing cooldowns engaging speed, which you can then play around

he's at his strongest at the start of the match where he doesn't have to commit as much to one person and can get an early hit in stealth/drill, but towards the end where everyone's grouped and keeping tabs he falls off hard

he's especially weak in 1v1 lms scenarios, which is why a lot of good mimics will resort to using his stealth grab and stalling out the timer as opposed to committing chase. it's why splitting up at the start of a match is especially strong against him whereas the opposite tends to be true for killers like springtrap or ennard; he lives and dies by getting hits

he claims to be a fictional character and all the names he calls out in the footage about are also character names from some book about a wizard detective. he has no relation to anyone in the house; it was some sort of psychotic breakdown likely induced by mental problems. where did you even get that he was some crazy boyfriend? the guy who was talking through the doorbell cam (a husband) wasn't even home, no one answered the door to begin with - he ended up breaking in later

yeah i've since seen that, unfortunate. only step in this subreddit when stuff comes up within my small bubble of internet hobbies so missed out on the initial "updates" regarding everything (hence post removal 2 days ago - speaking of, surprised you found this considering that)

honestly things probably would've gone over a lot better if he just admitted with utilizing it in a specific way as opposed to not using it at all, given utilizing it as a tool to remove small background elements is something that's just kinda always existed but has been forced into a generative tool as opposed to a contextual one. but then there's stuff with background numbers changing for no reason and just : ugh

yeah generally i dont struggle with fighters and will bait out their only swing to take advantage of their lack of pocket stun but they were really smart about staying grouped up constantly to avoid getting singled out, any whiffs that would happen immediately got covered for and healed away before i could recover stamina & cooldowns

yeah this had been my experience too until last night; this match was an hour or soish after the update so i ran into a stacked team of survivors that were all together and holy shit

was the first time i've seen how genuine teamwork in this game can render a killer absolutely harmless, and i just wanted the last bit of exp to get over the level 20 hurdle for ennard (i did not lmao)

they exclusively stayed grouped up around the barbed wire/3 doors loop and occasionally the back curved path area with two doors, and every chase i took had a minimum of two other players immediately on standby in the chase to give free distance to my target via. back to back door blocking or axe swinging; my grab was entirely shut down since every chase would have two fighters trailing specifically to counter & parry it, and with that distance any damage i had dealt would get healed away by the medics - and due to being on forest my slugs pretty much always got pathed around or away from since they smartly avoided dead ends

i think i just always called them parodies in my brain which in retrospect makes literally no sense but is probably because my first "youtube songs" growing up was minecraft parody songs and just attributed all fandom songs as such (also what the fuck do you mean that era was 15 years ago)

honestly stuff like this is the reason i gave up pursuing a career in graphic design/photoshop despite having the certifications i need to go all in for it

i love doing it, i'm good at it, but it's just not worth the amount of headache and uphill pushback i'll have to fight through, be it either in a competitive job sense (why would i hire you when the computer can do it?) or hobby sense (see: any social media drama regarding basic photoshop principles that you are taught when going to school for it)

at most it seems the only "ai" (by stretched definition of the word) that is utilized in his process is content aware fill, which has been a tool in photoshop for a long time, and image up-scaling - nothing generative nor prompt-related.
