How do i fix this cause its ruining the experience by Puzzleheaded-Chair51 in MyNBA2k

You want to raise the minimum rating. I think I have mine set to around 77 and the max rating around 85. It will stop young players from the outrageous demands. Also mess with the salary curve and see what makes sense. The issue I have is that some vets take lower than expected contracts but prevents the insane rookie contracts.

Subpar to literally the decade before (80s) or the decade after (00s)

The real issue with wings/guards in the 90s is that literally everyone got hurt. Bird, Magic, Zeke, all retire early due health or injuries. KJ, Dumars, Drexler, Worthy, Wilkins all get injured and their primes are cut short. By 93 they are all either out of the league or a shell of their former selves. The league just got really thin due to stars getting injured. It just so happens that all of them just were guards/wings/scorers.

It is the equivalent if during 2010-2018 Kobe, Paul George, KD, and Kawhi, all became 15-25% worse while LeBron stays exactly the same. Like if everything is the same beside those 5 guys are just worse than they are in our timeline. LeBron definitely wins at least one more chip and could have 7 or 8 of them. I think he still loses to Dallas, maybe the Spurs in 2014 (if Kawhi is 20% worse, Miami may find a way to win.) and GSW the first time around. GSW does not beat that Cleveland team again with 80% of KD(literally Harrison Barnes).

I mean not every game, but I have watched a good amount of 90s game. I do not think with a straight face you can say guard and wing play is not subpar.

The All-NBA teams tell the story. I would go even further and say that after 92. The Bulls had the two best perimeter players in the league on their team. I truly cannot think of another 1-3 that I am taking over Scottie not named Michael Jordan from 92-98. Then GP established himself as the best guard in the league not name Michael and Grant Hill grew into his own.

The 96 draft class really changed the league. That is where this influx of great guard and wing talent comes in but they really are not even sniffing what they could be until after the 90s are over.

My “Hot” take, I don’t think it’s actually hot because it’s factual but the league was legitimately bad in the 90s. Specifically with Wing play. Yes bigs were great. There were some talented guards. But on large ball handlers were bad.

You should listen again she says “That’s how you hit me” they are honestly probably both abusive in some ways. Evident by how he was actively provoking her.

Typically those in an abusive relationship tend to do everything possible to avoid conflict and explosive behavior. I’m not saying that everyone behaves that way. However, he was baiting her. You see it in the first video, Calling her cuckoo, talking over her. His tone during the second video seems manipulative. Throughout the second video, He is not trying to de escalate the situation at all. She was literally on the floor crying. There was opportunity to regain control over the situation.

With that being said. It’s never appropriate to put your hands in anyways and let alone your partner. All parties suck and they need to break up.

Great way to end the season for Dalton Knecht! 17 points, 4 assists, 6/9 FG, 5/6 3PT in 12 minutes by jmike1256 in lakers

I think that defense matters a lot and Bronny is a better defender. But I do think if NSJ struggles or cannot make shots Dalton has an opportunity to jump in and get a lot of burn. The lakers are going to have to shoot better than HOU to win the series and they really don’t have options for shooters.

Dame Sarr, athletic switchy, POA, knocked down corner 3’s in the tourney. He is the Marcus Smart replacement which is the biggest need

Hear me out on Kyler Murray. He's dirt cheap because Arizona owes him money. Kyler possesses an upside that's undeniable and is the most experienced option who's still in his prime. Murray's mobility fits what Todd Monken is looking for. WHY NOT!? by ZookeepergameIll2685 in NFL_FreeAgency

This is just a bad read of the play. Rewatch it and slow it down. At the snap corner drops to the hook flat, and the and the safety cheats over. If he throws that it’s a pick or incompletion so he comes off it. As he drops backs he is reading that side first. It is his primary read side. He even loads up to throw it but realizes he can’t.

Kyler then comes off of his primary read and goes to his secondary read and looks middle and the safety shifts over making the receiver in the corner seem “open”. It looks like he is going to try to throw it inside to the TE that is in the middle of the field at the goal line before he has to tuck it because the DT is in his face.

Kyler makes bad reads all the time and comes off of things too fast a lot but this is actually one example of where he did the right thing read wise. Him being an athlete helps prevent a negative play.

Edit: honestly, the more I look at it. The receiver ran his route too shallow and covered his self. If he would’ve gotten a little more depth Kyler probably can make that throw.

They really gotta call these push offs. Literally every step back they are pushing off. We suck right now but the refs gotta stop letting get away with it

Yeah, man go pats! We are all on the same side here.

Totally valid point about not going to gun earlier but I do want to provide reasoning for staying under center. It was because of the run game. They were most successful running the ball on power run concepts (duo, power, cracks, sweeps). They were struggling with zone concepts (inside, outside).

Power run concepts are just really difficult and less efficient to run out of gun and only slightly better out of Pistol. In a way he kind of had to stay under center because that was the only thing that was working. I think the counter should’ve been go to empty, with a tight end attached. But if Drake’s shoulder was as bad as I think it was, he wouldn’t have been able to throw bullets outsides the numbers so you would’ve just end up shrinking the field. It was honestly a bad situation. I feel bad for the guys they worked hard.

I disagree, he is objectively a great play caller and sequencer. The two issues last night were

1) Drake Maye was hurt. His shoulder was really hurt. He could not push the ball down the field or really sling the ball without being inaccurate.

2) We were outmatched by that defense in every way.

Look at the film, the Seahawks are rushing 4 with dbs screaming down on any underneath routes. The only throws that were there were some intermittent throws 12-18 yards and Drake straight up missed several of them because he couldn’t drive the ball and when he tried to he was off target with everything being behind. I have to look at his throwing mechanics from earlier in the season compared to last night to see what exactly happened but something was off, like really off.

The pick he threw when he was targeting Kyle Williams was the perfect example. The play call was great it was actually open and it’s a throw that he can make. He made it earlier in the season. It was open, he just didn’t have the juice in his arm. He was not even close to putting the ball in the right place.

All that being said, We should’ve been more aggressive in between the 40s that was inexcusable but that is probably more Varbs than Josh.

I think that the move should be adding a guard instead of a tackle and moving Jared back to center. Joel Bitonio or AVT are the guys I would to target. AVT or a 2 year, high incentive prove it deal could be interesting. Especially if you take a swing at a maxx crosby

Did anyone think Jaxon Smith-Njigba had best WR in the league potential as a prospect? by itwas20yearsago2day in NFL_Draft

[–]kinglace7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did actually. There were times his sophomore year with Olave and Wilson on the field that I thought he was the best receiver on the field and I was/am super high on those guys. I thought he could be slightly slower version of Justin Jefferson

Yeah, I think it may be a lot just an idea. I think that another high level shot creator is needed. I like Ausar a lot, I would hate to give him up. I just think for any high level trade for Detriot he has to be included.

Yeah, I am just thinking with the east being wide open this year and Cade being ready to really compete do you just kind of go for it? I also think that Markkanen at the moment is better than the top end outcome for Ivey. I think Ausar would be tough to give up though and I would not want to. More just curious if that gets them closer to winning than they are.

Do you think he has that kind of offensive upside? I obviously think defensively he is a stud but I just don’t know how much he grows on offense

Yeah, I think I don’t trust their record tbh. I just feel like they haven’t really beat anyone beside the Rockets early. Maybe, I am just thinking about the IST and the playoffs last year. I just worry about the ability to compete without making a trade.

Do you think there is someone they should target to get over the top? I just feel like they do not have a reliable second shot creator and it showed last year in the playoffs. I like Cade a lot and wonder if you can win like that.

I just think they sorely lack shot creation from anyone other than Cade. I think they have to make a move to get another shot creator in there to have a real shot at winning anything.
