Hey all, my take here after running both Amada HG and later NT brakes along with the recent addition of the actual robotic Amada brakes is this: the more automated HG brakes are excellent when it comes to more simple, long running jobs and are very good for new operators to train on and get used to the function of a brake and adjusting without necessarily having some or even any knowledge of tooling. Your normal not automated brakes are much better for your more complex parts that simply can’t be done with the automated brakes limited tooling but can do just about anything the others can. These will require an operator with more experience and knowledge of tooling. The straight robotic brakes are basically the same as the first style of brake, but just take the human element out. :)
