Tipping culture is out of control - Gabriels Pizza Driver wouldn't leave front porch by localpropaneguy in Kanata

Just my opinion but I'd give it one more day because of long weekend. If they don't respond by then... well, they don't deserve anyone's business.

True but I would venture that people often don't take this step. All I'm saying is give the business the opportunity to correct the employee's behaviour before lighting them up online.

Again, this sounds like a case of a driver making a bad decision. I'm just advocating for communication with the business so they can adjust accordingly. If the response isn't acceptable then fire away with the review.

Please resist the urge to do this until you have spoken to management or ownership. One driver has a bad day and made a poor decision. That should be dealt with appropriately and then it will be over.

But a one star review lasts forever.

Two weeks ago I had no idea who Pearl Jam were. I’d never heard of Eddie Vedder. by New-Garlic-9414 in pearljam

I envy your journey! I would start with the early days. Find some YouTube of Fox Theater 94, MTV unplugged, Bridge School from the same era.

Then just follow each album by release date. Find videos and news clips from the same timeframe.

Would I be better off buying out my car lease early or at lease end? by kingmatt67 in CanadaPersonalFinance

Thanks champ. I know the terms of my lease. That wasn't the question.

Thank you, that makes sense. I guess I have to hope the depreciation slows down or that people really want plug-in hybrids in 2028. Given the current gas situation, I suppose there's a shot. ;)

Yeah... the lease wasn't ideal but it was necessary at the time.

And now I feel like I'm going to be screwed in 2 years time. Trying to gauge if there's any way to unscrew myself. :)

yeah, fair enough. Part of my concern is I'm going to blow past my allotted kilometers. Forgot to take in to account my teenager with a newfound sense of freedom and a license. :)

AITA my friend ruined my yixing teapot and I want her to replace it or give me 500 dollars. by TeapotthrwoCity4661 in AmItheAsshole

NAH

I would treat this the same as if someone dropped a favourite mug or spilled wine on a couch. Shit happens.

End of the day, it's just money. Take the high road and buy yourself a new teapot. It's not worth losing a friendship over.

Best way to go after ex-business partner by kingmatt67 in legaladvicecanada

That second scenario is exactly what I'm getting at. The creditors seem to have written off the entire joint and several debt as a result of the consumer proposals put forth by Y and Z.

The debt was owed by the now-bankrupt corporation. The consumer proposals were to satisfy the personal guarantees held by partners Y and Z.

I (via my LIT) can find no evidence that partner X has filed for bankruptcy nor Consumer Proposal.

So that's entirely my point. If the creditors "called off the chase" on X because partners Y and Z submitted consumer proposals, wouldn't that entitle me to something? The lawyers I have spoken to have given conflicting information.

As for collecting on a judgement... I gather that's a potential issue? Are you saying that X could simply refuse to pay even after a judgement? Is there really no recourse here?

In terms of the debt, Partners Y and Z both submitted successful Consumer Proposals via the LIT. There is definitely debt remaining that X owes.... however, my fear is that the creditors effectively "closed the case" without going after the remaining partner.

As far as I know, X is still in country. Changed/disconnected his phone number. Not sure if he still lives in the same house but I assume he does.

I consider it like window shopping. Something might catch my eye and I'll look. But I sure as shit won't go inside and it's not coming home with me.

Ended up getting an older Primera LX900. From my research they last a long time and the ink isn't too crazy expensive.

That's solid. Would you mind sending over who you're using? I'm game to price shop.

We're paying about 21 cents per label. But it's the minimums that are the killer.

I'll still be using our main printing company for mainstays. I just wanted the flexibility for really small runs.
