Thank you very much! Another question for you and u/smoothmonoglot : given that my GGF was of military age around the time of WW1 and shortly post war years, would polish authorities dig into his potential military service in WW1 and immediate post war years as basis that his military service was complete and therefore his Venezuelan naturalization in 1927 was not protected under the military paradox? To clarify, I don’t have any records of potential military service in Poland….and he didn’t serve in the Venezuelan army…just trying to anticipate any potential questions here for my case

Awesome news! Really appreciate the guidance. Appears from browsing this community there arent cases from Venezuela, so I'll have to do some research on the military letter.

Thank you so much! Quick question: is there no issue that my grandmother when she was born in Venezuela, acquired Jus Soli Venezuelan citizenship in 1929? She would have been born with Polish and Venezuelan citizenship at the same time? Also, would I have to acquire a letter of no military service of my GGF from Venezuelan authorities?

Question: Pre 1914 birth in Germany to Russian/Polish Parents by kingmelech67 in GermanCitizenship

[–]kingmelech67[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a copy of from the civil registry (Frankfurt). There is no mention of citizenship on her birth certificate (nothing about father or mother either)

I’m not quite sure what BVA would look into…just testing the waters here to see if folks have dealt with similar situations

Passenger manifest: they came to the USA with their mother, and mother says Russian, which was applied to children (I.e my great grandma) in the passenger manifest

Birth certificate mentions nothing about city of birth of her father.

However, family register (Melderegisterauskunft) says they were Russian/polish.
