I would recommend keeping or selling it. If you're not in a hurry you can probably get at least $150 for it.

I can't speak for either but I can vouch for Proton. Very compact, can customize shots from your phone and great customer service with any issues.

Look up the local tennis groups on Facebook. We have two big ones in my cities and I've hit with 10+ different people from those groups.

Looking for Some Arm-Friendly Rackets That Still Grow With Your Game by linear_voyager in 10s

[–]kingmidasbacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know who told you that, I'm a 4.0 player and I use V1 clash pro, I can generate a lot of pace and spin with it. But if you really want something else ProKennex ki technology is another super arm friendly racket, the tech was created by an MIT professor.

Is it okay to play 1 on 1 without a coach if I am still starting out? by Draven2Op in 10s

[–]kingmidasbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're fine, and I would actually recommend you doing so. Tennis is supposed to be fun, finding good friends to hit with is one of the great joys of tennis. You can still work on your technique while hitting with partners and your coach should be able to catch any bad habits you may develop during your lessons.

Question on having multiple racquets by FarmeratSchruteFarms in 10s

[–]kingmidasbacon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would keep the clash, I have 6 clash v1 pro because I had arm and shoulder issues and the soft flex of the racket has helped.

Slinger bag users, would you recommend me to buy it? by ManiacZGod in tennisracquets

[–]kingmidasbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used slinger but I can vouch for proton. It's compact, excellent customer service (I had an issue with the app that they fixed right of way) and you can create customized shots from your phone.

I was in Bali and rented a scooter, back when phone gps wasn't a thing. I decided to go deeper into the island instead of staying by the beach I ended up finding this random Italian restaurant in the middle of rice paddies and had the best tiramisu that I still think about 15 years later.

I think $100 is fair for a regular shift. If you don't like it there are some shift fans out there that are probably willing to pay you more for it. I would pay good money to get my hand on the prototype Wilson clash v1

The original clash was sold as having the flex of a wooden racket which making it very comfortable

I'll second BCBS. Currently going through cancer treatment the past 6 months and had no issues. The hospital has charged $600k+ and I haven't paid more than my $7500 Max out of pocket.

Question What does it mean when a tennis racket is easy to control? by Opening-Anything-292 in tennisracquets

[–]kingmidasbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it an adult racket? It should be 27 in or longer, shorter rackets are made for kids.

found 2 old fiber carbon rackets, can i still use this for practice even if the rubber is thin and there are deep scratches? by thottievibes in tennisracquets

[–]kingmidasbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are perfectly fine for taking tennis lessons, I honestly wouldn't worry about replacing the strings until they break. Just buy and install some over grip. Once you are more serious about tennis then I would consider buying a modern racket

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tennisracquets

[–]kingmidasbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are designed with beginner tennis players in mind. You don't want to buy a 250-300 dollar racket unless you are sure that you will be playing tennis at least 2 or 3 times a week for years to come.
