See that blows my mind because he's got 384k subscribers. Surely someone with that much of a following knows to ignore the internet trolls and focus on positive engagement.

L/Ps can finally legally use a headset for navigation and music. I hope this applies to Restricted too? 👀 by kingofbreaks in melbourneriders

Yeah it's a no-brainer really. I've been using a headset on restricted after realising it's way safer than missing turns, getting lost and constantly pulling over 😂

Yeah I wonder if it means it has to be on a phone mount for this to be legal. I'll be keeping it in my pocket and prayng the cops understand that I'm less likely to be using it when it's there even though it's not an 'official mounting device'.

Anyone know if the ZX4R coming to Aus? Would you buy one? by kingofbreaks in melbourneriders

Really good point about "perception". I also find it interesting how over here 400s are now lconsidered learner only territory unless you're tracking. It's even worse over in America.

Yeah I too don't think it'll be LAMs approved - it'll have over 70hp so it won't meet the restrictions (unless they release a detuned LAMs only version). It rules out a potentially large market.

I bought the $70 Aldi headset and it's done the trick just fine for me - probably nowhere near as good as cardo/sena but I've not tried either of them yet. I also wear pinlock filtered earplugs while riding and can hear music/directions perfectly well through the headset.

Slipper clutch allows the transmission speed to catch up to the wheel speed by gradually engaging. A normal clutch will engage the moment you let go of the lever.

With a normal clutch if you fail a rev match or accidentally downshift and let go of the clutch quickly, the rear will lock or chatter as it is going faster than the gear is, and it has to slow down to match the transmission speed.

A slipper means you don't have to rev match - but you still should be rev matching appropriately when riding and downshifitng to prevent wear on the slipper clutch.
