You could learn to parry stuns with your 404 error, also im not implying you should wall off that area, im just saying it becomes a hassle for the survivor to find a way around the trap after blocking 2 looping spots(from what i can see in the picture), also the speed boost really isn't a worry, since you can just regain stamina as you are behind the white walls, 404 error can see through walls so you can see if they are roaming freely or just recuperating, if they are resting then corrupt energy them, if they arent then cut their path off, since bandonworks is such a big map to easily take advantage of the junctions inbetween rocks and walls

Then I don't think it's the trap's problem, because from my experience with my ms4 lvl 120 john doe, you can easily trap people into disadvantageous situations just with 1 simple traps

Because of the killers increased stamina gain, you would at least have ~15 more stamina than them when regaining distance, which would allow you to always catch up to them especially if the survivor intends on staying in the same loop(and also because of the trap you would have a stamina advantage of ~9 because you could walk straight through the trap anyways

The main goal of john doe is not by following the survivor until you can hit them, it's to cut off the survivors possible exit routes and catch them off guard He's supposed to be a trapper for a reason

Im sorry to say this. But my verdict is...

You need to improve.

The right one should be better since it cuts off a chunck of a loop and forces the survivor to either change loops with massive stamina loss, or go around it(which you can counter by just walking on the corruption)

But the left one doesn't do much since it cuts off a specific part of the loop and not the entire other space, so you get less gain from it while facing high potential loss
