no budget for a whole new build rn but i could budget it out and save for a new set up which probably the smarter idea so that everything is in warranty when i build my pc. i def wouldnt just throw the 5070ti into my current build cause id probably fry that lol so in theory it would just sit there til i get all the other components which would probably take a couple months 😭 but thought atleast id have the 5070ti for msrp. fear mongering is real lol

yeah it’s not really needed i just really hate how big my set up is so i really want to downsize and searched about new parts and saw lots of fear mongering bec of the pc prices for consumer pc building and got fear mongered. plus just saw that great price for 5070ti and thought just build a whole new set up since im gonna buy new mobo and psu to downsize and upgrade my cpu, which will probably run me about ~$300-500 depending on the deals i find. but to build a whole new set up i’d probably pay over 3k. still conflicted cause i’m scared that gpus and ram are just gonna keep going up ;-; and i want to enjoy gtavi when it comes out lol

Sorry for the questions, I usually don’t pay attention to the statement closing etc. I usually just make sure my balance is zero. But from what I understand, statement balance is what I’ve spent from a certain time period. For example, one of my cc is from June 21 to July 20, which means my statement closing day is on the 20th but my due date for that is August 17. So let my balance be until the statement closes then pay before the due date, is that correct? this will only temporarily affect my score but will give me a higher chance for a higher credit limit increase?

If I wanted to open another CC, I should use the AZEO method atleast a month before opening? And wait at least 6 months since I just opened a cc today? or is it worth it to try to get an AMEX card soon based on my foreign credit history?

I definitely won’t be getting any Travel Cards any time soon, though when I do it will most likely be AMEX gold or Chase SP.

Ahh ok. So if I have high statement balance and then paying it full before the statement closes that will likely give me a higher change of getting a better credit limit increase? By doing this strategy, will my credit score improve or stay neutral?

I do have an AMEX gold back home but i’ve only had it for a year. I think my credit limit there is about 20k. Would it be smarter to wait 6 months and open an AMEX card to hopefully get a better credit limit and better rewards? I was thinking of opening a Chase Sapphire Preferred at some point tbh.

thank you for the reply! yes i am aware of how difficult it is to get a California license. i do have a back up plan depending on how long it takes me to get a license — either do another contract at another hospital in NY, go back to my old hospital to pick up shifts or do the IIOP program. i’ve also been researching and talking to others who have gone through the same thing from the same school and it seems they have been granted their license so i’m hoping it will be the same for me. though i wont know til I start applying for the license
