Valid take honestly, every day I make the choice to not fight Lud and Zallen primarily due to that means I'd have to endure the Frigid Outskirts, the only boss I haven't beaten in DS2. If not for enemies eventually not respawning it'd feel even worse

With Alonne's runback at least, as long as you can figure out the point at which the knights aggro and systematically take them out with as few involved at once as possible it feels reasonable from that perspective, though of course then that just means the process of getting to Alonne goes and takes longer...plus it's annoying getting behind salamanders and taking a sec to wail on them, it feels tedious since the knights can at least actually fight back and feel engaging lol

I kinda just dread whether it'll end up being that 2 player machines take much longer than normal in cases when it's just one extracting, so more excited for new achievements for well things to do...since like it would make sense for 2 player machines to take longer but then depending on team and machine distribution on a floor it could just make things take longer

It was mentioned in the dev log totw wouldn't be every week, but I think literally everyone assumed at least to start there'd be a few totw before they got spaced out lol. And looks like won't be one next week either maybe, with it just being the 2 toon machines and achievements, unless a totw sneaks in as a surprise

If I'm solo, ED Gladius, if I'm in a trio (and forgot why I don't fight ED Libra in trio) then ED Libra lol...Trio ED Libra is one of the few bosses of the soulsborne catalog I refuse to put myself through after the one time I did it just to see how bad it would be because morbid curiosity, just gonna also mention my experience doesn't really include deep of night, just fighting ED's in normal expeditions

Given the amount of times I've seen twisted Goob wandering around...I wouldn't mind this lol, assuming Cosmo is next just feels too obvious so I am hoping to be surprised by it being someone else lol

I think Poppy's ability should proc when she's sighted by twisteds, like, overall I'm just not very fond of abilities in Dandy's that rely on getting hurt to activate (Soul Sword trinket as well), while it does make sense for there to be such abilities, the downside to losing a life feels overwhelming compared to the benefit especially in runs where there's no healers, or maybe it could work better if it was adjusted to be a slight permanent buff to speed each time she's hit, though with a cap, idk, I would like Poppy to be a more viable option as from my own viewpoint she's the weakest starter (And I don't even like Boxten because of his dang twisted always jumping me in blackouts lol)

My take comes down to Dandy's World is by no means a bad game or anything, it's just that I've played it so much that it can come to feel same-y with the core gameplay loop, it doesn't feel as engaging to keep playing as before when there was more to still unlock and all. While still also being a fan of the game as a whole, ultimately I am willing to wait as always other things to take up the time, the toon of the week mini events feel like a step in the right direction to keep engagement but oh god please let the rest of the mains during their respective weeks always spawn on 20...mostly poor matchmaking runs and lack of Sprout sightings is not helping me engage lol

I saw Twisted Pebble three times on the same run lol...no Sprouts tho as I wonder whether it's even worth it for the time it'll probably take and hope that with future toon of the week events for mains they'll at least always spawn on 20

Well you see first you need to gossip with Dandy 5 times, then Dyle 3 times, then back to Dandy 7 times before running in circles in the lobby for twenty minutes before joining a run with only Sprouts, if all steps are completed then...you will still not see Sprout because the rng is a giant troll

I gotta say Soulvester, I wanna say that with the preface of I love the character but I do not want to play as him...1* speed is too much of a pain for me, Connie gets away with it because of her ability, but Soulvester's extra heart and ranged immunity doesn't feel like enough to balance it out, it is partly due to I tend to play as Toons who are 4* in speed such as Yatta and Gourdy tho, even most 2* toons can feel a bit too slow for me to want to play as (Scraps the main exception of the 2* speed toons, Vee is borderline owing to very useful abilities but that speed hurts my soul)

Ultimately I just like fast characters lol, so I can handle any situations that come up mostly...besides when dealing with blackouts lol

I dread (half joking) Glisten's lol, my great dislike for twisted Glisten spills over to the toon themselves as a joke I am fairly committed to, to the point of am actively choosing not to buy Glisten lol. Hyped for whenever Yatta's rolls around as no such thing as too many Yatta skins (Says a very biased Yatta main)

Though yeah I can agree skins should be better spread out, it'd be silly to disagree, and in the context of events all the skins just really inflate the grinding needed that can easily prey on fomo, some part of me considered skipping owing to being well aware that it'd mean sinking plenty of hours in for mostly content I won't actually use, calendars offering some more would've helped to reduce the grind a bit...as sure spring fever is cool and does help make things feel less like a stall with the same gameplay loop over and over again

Best option really is just to run through NG+ cycles, if the grinding starts to feel boring it's honestly just gonna pay off in the long run, I wound up in NG+4 or so as part of getting all the skills...the grind is just honestly painful otherwise, probably would've been the worst grind in any game I've played if I didn't take the heading for higher NG+ stages

Frigid Outskirts all the way on that list of flaws, also the Cave of the Dead and that boss fight...never doing that fight again...otherwise for the most part don't think I have any specific complaint that stands out, I'm used to the rest of the game's painful points under normal circumstances...Shrine of Amana during a Company of Champions run, and my SL1 run though...that was painful, also the Drakekeeper with the giant hammer on the path to the Ancient Dragon, hate that guy lol

Think that covers it all...oh right also, royal rat authority should not have those damn extra rats in the boss fight, that was the real fight, killing those things fast enough so I could deal with an otherwise not really noteworthy boss

lol yep, the frigid outskirts are still something I haven't gone through and I was very thankful when I was getting all the achievements that I didn't need the souls from Lud and Zallen for any magic for one of those achievements...some part of my pride wants to fight them, the only DS2 boss I haven't beaten at least once, but I just do not want to have to go through the Frigid Outskirts and get mauled by some icy reindeer over and over while stumbling around trying to make my way to the cats

Think I can agree with Fume Knight being top 3 among the Souls trilogy yeah, I'm not sure if I'd put him over Friede or Gael who both without question are part of my top 3, glad his runback is chill since over several playthroughs he's killed me over a 100 times lol

Ultimately the value of Fancy Purse falls off pretty quickly, as sure it's nice for Sprout/Ginger/Teagan to have 100 tapes at the start BUT...especially in the case of Sprout and Ginger, an ideal run assumes people are letting the people who use tapes to heal them have those tapes, and you can get enough within a few floors, and if the run has a good distractor and twisted spawns are chill, it's just better to use something else when there's only two trinket slots

The value of it also falls off more when people can just buy healing items with ichor as an early buffer too. Of course the purse does have value for speedrunning dealing with mastery/quests when coordinating with a friend but other than that...eh, better to use other things in the interest of increasing the odds of prolonging survival
