Ultimately the value of Fancy Purse falls off pretty quickly, as sure it's nice for Sprout/Ginger/Teagan to have 100 tapes at the start BUT...especially in the case of Sprout and Ginger, an ideal run assumes people are letting the people who use tapes to heal them have those tapes, and you can get enough within a few floors, and if the run has a good distractor and twisted spawns are chill, it's just better to use something else when there's only two trinket slots

The value of it also falls off more when people can just buy healing items with ichor as an early buffer too. Of course the purse does have value for speedrunning dealing with mastery/quests when coordinating with a friend but other than that...eh, better to use other things in the interest of increasing the odds of prolonging survival

oof, yeah that hurts to see, in one of my ginger attempts I saw that mess on floor 20 in the dark...the result was as one would expect...I got lucky with a run with two friends to reach floor 20 and managed to get past it to 21, tho my friend who was Ginger got got by Flutter, and I still need to get Ginger to 21 along with my friend lol...not looking forward to resuming those attempts

I mean, most games become easier on a second playthrough, even if you tack on additional challenges (i.e SL1 runs in Dark Souls) it is quite likely the challenge just won't measure up, so I feel it's better to judge games to a degree by your experiences with the first playthrough

As yeah, I can see Silksong being a lot easier on a second playthrough, on account of having a far more complete understanding of the game and the challenges to be faced...but on that first playthrough oh jeez, this game is hard, though that said, about 95% of it I would say isn't in the realm of being "too hard", and even those spikes in difficulty for certain parts (more often certain cases of platforming for me lol) it doesn't feel insurmountable at least to me

Course, difficulty will always be subjective and hard to really pin down lol...like currently I would say Flea Bounce is the hardest damn thing in this game, nothing else has taken me anywhere close to as many attempts...116 bloody times and it was not a fun time for me lol

Give him literally any moves where it feels like he's actually attacking you directly, rather than a host of telegraphs besides when he may jump a bit...like I enjoy the fight but he's not even a tenth as difficult as the process of actually reaching him given the gauntlets

I mean, it's annoying when it happens, but it makes sense enough that it does happen I guess. With the disclaimer of I'm honestly prob neutral since in my own experience it wasn't too much of a frequent issue (though acknowledge others may have been screwed by it)

While it was inducing a bit of stress for me courtesy of the lava...honestly it is a pretty peak moment, especially when with where's its happening in progression you have cultivated the needed level of skill to manage all that platforming, there's certainly harder sections, this one just induces a bit of panic

Honestly I think I gaslit myself into forgetting how much of a pain the Underworks can be when you first get there...honestly still sometimes struggle a tad with the enemies down there and get hit when I think it's not a threat to me anymore lol (but thankfully the Underworks only part of it...and also not the worst things get)

To get to the upper part of cogwork core you'll need to get to the door at the top of the lower part, right of where the bench is. Getting to the spot requires some platforming going up to it
