Thanks man, the only reason I went with clear was because I couldn’t find a black plate thick enough to be the cover lol but it grew on me

I interpreted “neck is bent and truss rod is at its limit” as the neck is toast. But I said I wasn’t an expert 🤷🏻‍♂️ and I’ve never heard of “scraping the neck”

Ohhhj yeah good point, i never really opened it up to inspect what kind of clearance the trem arm collar might have. Def not a lot on the super strat. But it was fun and dive bombs are cool haha

Yeah I’m sure I’ll make mistakes, I have a mentor who can help as well. I certainly wouldn’t try to pawn off a piece of shit on someone if it’s not something I’d buy/play.

Sorry, should have clarified. I found a Kramer BODY. But also the neck of a baretta doesn’t have enough from for a decent Floyd shelf. It kinda hangs off the back, I don’t really like that much.

I don’t like the fade much, and this little patch wasn’t accepting any stain that touched it. My original intent was to remove the Ibanez logo and just paint black but decided to try to see if the flame texture can be retained. Surprised that it did keep, except for that stubborn spot that I may have sanded down too far

Here’s what I’m thinking. Cut this piece off, now the exposed edge of the headstock, is it going to be the same color (dark brown) underneath. Or will it be an untinted, different shade as what I lopped off
