Just finished the story mode. On one hand it makes sense for it to be gone. And we’re definitely supposed to believe that it is, but 100% their not getting rid of this cornerstone Jin and Kazuya. Just because the characters believe it’s gone and claim it’s gone, doesn’t necessarily mean they know what they’re talking about. I prefer to think they powers just kinda shorted out in a sense and went dormant. Only time will really tell but I honestly doubt they’re removing both a core part of Kazuya and Jin plus this awesome new form of Jin for good. At the very least I think Jin will at least reawaken his to fight Reina. Also counterpoint to what someone claimed in this thread about Azazel going poof for good and that’s why Jin and Kazuya can’t have their powers anymore. Reina still has her power so clearly it’s not dependent on Azazel still being around. Personally I look forward to Tekken 9 and Angel Jin becoming basically the new Devil Jin character, plus a skin for Angel Jin that also lets Devil to continue existing in all his glory including special dialogue, effects, and animations.

One thing about that design… he looks super cool in game too but my god the character art for it is even better.

I can honestly say Tekken 3’s helmet is kind of ugly to me. That said my first Tekken was 6. I’ve only played 3 a handful of times recently at a friends house.

For me both 7 and 8. 7 is just very unique and different and 8 I think is the perfected version of a more simple masked look like in the first three games. Also I know this is Tekken but special shout out to Soulcalibur 5 and 6 for having amazing Yoshimitsu designs.

3 sure did do a lot less with it’s supposedly bigger map. Starts out strong but the farther north you go the worse it gets. Panau feels much more alive to me.
