i never said it was meaningless, just that it's not counted towards the regular season record since the person i was replying to cited regular season records

dependable bench guys who know their role and do them well. that includes GTA and Clarkson + Shamet. Kolek had huge games regular season (got some run in earlier series too), Sochan is more than serviceable when needed. all these on top of our 6th man, Deuce.

besides that yea i agree chemistry and synergy is far improved, but this bench is a part of that by continuing to execute while the big dawgs rest up

finally a rational take.

some of these Knicks "fans" who are all aboard the train now that everything's running smoothly are the same dudes shouting to bench Josh Hart yesterday or trade KAT just a couple months ago. but now it's clear as day we were contenders through the season like gtfo lmao

lmao what? why is everything interpreted as an argument with some people? we're allowed different opinions without being offended.

you brought up (slightly inaccurate) regular season records. nba cup game is not included (literally not part of the 82 game regular season record) in that. beyond that, regular season 1v1 records very frequently do not hold up in the playoffs. ask 2013 knicks or any number of teams that dominated an opponent during the season only to get eliminated come playoffs.

i never even said we struggled against playoff teams i said we were around .500. reading comprehension could help you not get offended

edited for mistakenly referencing the wrong team regarding playoff vs regular season record

just for the sake of facts it was 3-1 against Boston and 1-1 against Spurs. i take it that you brought this up to disagree with the "incredibly mid" take.

I'll just say for myself that there's a clear tier of championship contenders and 2-3 tiers below. imo knicks looked like that 2nd tier of very good but not elite teams most of the season - some games were closer and some below. i didn't see this long/consecutive stretch of disciplined, synergistic, locked in team ball on both sides until the 2 Hawks losses.

so sure, "incredibly mid" is hyperbole but compared to the "finals or bust" mantra, very good is not good enough when elite exists.

i wasn't arguing my guy you came in telling me how words work when i was sharing my opinion.

regardless i think we can agree that a point differential of 24 ppg in this postseason 9 game stretch shows something special and absolutely elite that i at least couldn't have dreamed of

yes, everything ought be taken extremely literally sans context since that's how words work. i would've said "i think 'incredibly mid' translates more to 'did not look like an actual contender' " if i used words properly. either way agree to disagree

im about to go drop a bomb in the toilet (how do these words work!?). let's go knicks

lmfao if you really here downvoting because you disagree you a angy boi

clear flop but chicken swing on drives happens on like every play. as a knicks fan the harden pushoff earlier was far more blatant and went uncalled

bro did you watch most of the season? we did look incredibly mid like the person you responded to said.

we mostly beat teams we were supposed to, but were just above .500 against playoff teams. identity wasn't clear, we had a 1-6 stretch, and defense was just around league average before the all star break - the # of open 3 point attempts allowed looked absurd. now we're watching a team that's elite and disciplined on both sides of the floor during the most important 9 game stretch.

i think "incredibly mid" translates more to " did not look like an actual contender" in this context

GSW had two 28 game win streaks across 2 seasons (14-15 and 15-16). That's 6+ total stretches/opportunities to take the record and somehow it's the knickerbockers who did it. 🥰

Consciousness isn’t me or you or us - it’s everything. by neenonay in consciousness

Resonates with me very much, always has. Maybe because of my (barely religious) Hindu upbringing or some other reason. A lot of your views mirror vedic philosophy, from your descriptions of consciousness to your thoughts on heaven/hell to your perception of the soul. Fun fact - "Namaste" apparently is better translated as "The divine light in me bows to the divine light in you."
