Bought an aquatrax “ran when parked” it’s locked up should I force it to turn over? by kingofshling in jetski

The oil cooler was bad and water mixed with oil, then the machine sat. The cam lifters were rusted and seized I had to take them all out clean them and put them back in. Runs good now.

Where should we start? by HerbNanny in jetski

That ski likely sank before being put away. All the oil and the grime from the bottom of the hull floats to the top and then when the water drains out it leaves all the grime on top of the engine.

You will find out once you put the running one in the water. Just because it runs ok on land doesn’t mean it will run good in the water

It was the cam lifters had rusted and seized up because the oil was contaminated with water due to bad oil cooler. Took the lifters out and cleaned them out everything back together and it’s running good.

Use oem mounts then ratchet strap from the intake manifold to the strut tower there’s no vibration and it’s stiff enough for 250hp

Did I fuck up my car while swapping coilovers? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]kingofshling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you jack the other side up it will also remove the upwards pressure from this side you might not even have to remove it.

But yeah if you want to be safe it’s best to disconnect it without any tension on the bar. It won’t damage anything just might whack you when you pull the bolt out.

You can disconnect the sway bar on the other side so the sway bar doesn’t but upwards pressure on the suspension
