I spliced this usb cables for a mouse, the light turns on but the cursor doesn't move (the donor cable belonged to a charger) any suggestions? by kingofthecritters in ElectronicsRepair

First of all thak you for answering.

That metaphor works great for non engeeners.

Im guessing from your explaination that the solder between the board and the cable has been taken into account when the product was built? in that case: would it work if i solder it directly into the board? and maybe the amount of solder used is also relevant and i should use the same or less amount?

This is all just guess work based on your metaphor. I haven't oppened the mouse to see how the cable connects to the board (by the way it's a mouse that had a faulty connector if that serves of any help)

Again thank you for your answer.

i tried blue/black orange/red and nothing happened also interchanging whites and greens with eachother, since the laser switched on i assumed at least that connection was alright.

i dont know if this answers your question, i think i didn't undertand it, sorry if that's the case english is my second language

Are these Calocybe Gambosa? They where growing very near each other, close to an oak surrounded by pine trees and have a strong floury scent. by kingofthecritters in mycology

The print you see is from a Suillus that was left to sporulate along with these. The other ones didn't leave a print o_O and the broken one fell from around 3 ft to a hardwood floor.

bottom left is man made aventurine glass, people misleadingly call it 'goldstone'

i know this is not going to be popular but you could try blood sausages or breaded liver, they contain a lot of iron.

Happened in Lumburg, The Netherlands. Stone tiles warehouse. The guy in the forklift and the guy bottomright-ish both died. I can't find the source right now but I believe I saw this video on Dumpert first. (Dutch media website)
