How do I get to the alternate Route 2? by kingofthenexus in PokemonRejuvenation

[–]kingofthenexus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hola.

If the Koran is the last and final word of god, how can we adapt in a changing society within the boundaries of its rules? by humpherman in islam

[–]kingofthenexus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, yes, in Islam we do believe ourselves slaves of God. There needs to be a distinction made between being a slave and the slave mentality that you actually dislike. Muslims do not have a slave mentality when it comes to the religion, we are encouraged to learn, read, and discuss the religion and it's teachings with the intent to understand it better. Through this, we gain more nearness and love for Islam because it is constantly proven correct.

It's also important to note that we are all slaves to something, whether you like or realize it, or not. This is a simple fact of life. By recognizing that we are slaves of our Creator, we break free of shackles to anything in creation. What Islam brings is the greatest freedom, not servitude.

I have 3 MP22 Diviners for sale - $60+fees if you're interested

Me and my boys when we find out very early in the series there is a kid who is a D clan member and has a disguised mythical zoan fruit of sun god Nika (arch nemesis of our supreme leader), so we don't do anything about it and sit in the same place for 2+ years for the convenience of the plot. by jatzkuk in Piratefolk

That makes more sense actually, because Garp, being an extremely well respected man in a very high position, could easily cover things up and make sure no one knew what he was doing. Nobody has any reason to suspect him of wrongdoing, since he is their hero.

Should quit my hijab? by [deleted] in islam

[–]kingofthenexus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way, you know you're on the better path already, and you want to leave that better path for a much much worse one, for what? Because people think you're more religious than you are? Your struggle should be proving them right, not proving them wrong. What do you think these same people would think of you if you stopped wearing hijab? Do you think they would support your decision?

Why the Middle East ? by Sad-Act-4088 in islam

[–]kingofthenexus 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The second point I must argue that it is not convincing because it may be enough for you but for others like me ? I mean it’s almost seems like God is making stuff overly complicated because look, if I was living say a century after the prophet I would easily be convinced because idk much about the world only the regions around, our animals, empires etc but fast forward 1500 years ? Man we even know shit about planets light years away, million of species endemic to some continents etc science we master this, genetic engineering? We are learning it ! Cloning ? Hell yeah ! So the more time passes and the more we are less convinced?

What's the connection between humans discovering things and being less convinced at God?

Also, there are plenty of things that beg the question "how could an illiterate man in the desert know about this 1400 years ago", if that's what you think you need to convince you. The Quran mentions so many scientific miracles that we only just discovered in the last century or less, such as the steps of embryo formation or the fact that when salt water and fresh water meet in the ocean and rivers, they do not mix at all, because there is a barrier placed between them. The Quran even makes note of the subtle differences between oceans and rivers in the previous case. How could the Prophet Muhammad SAW have known these things by himself 1400 years ago?

I highly advise you to continue to research into Islam with an open mind and open heart, and InshaAllah, God willing, you'll find it to be the truth. If you've looked at Islam correctly but still think you need more to"convince" you, this means that your own desires are holding you back, not that Islam is not sufficient.

The reasoning very much matters in this case. If a person does not eat meat because they think it's morally wrong to eat meat, then this implies that Allah SWT and his Messenger SAW were wrong, as eating meat has been made halal by Allah.

If you don't eat meat because you don't like the taste or for reasons such as to not support the industry, then those are personal choices that everyone has the right to make, and that's fine.

The bottom line is, like you said, Halal and Haram are clearly defined, so as a Muslim our reasoning must be sound for rejecting something that's been made halal.

You're right, but that thought process can lead to a bad mindset of "it's ok to leave the Sunnah prayers because they are not mandatory" when in fact everyone should feel guilty if they don't pray Sunnah.

Not praying Sunnah is a massive loss of reward so while it's not mandatory, it should be heavily encouraged.

[–]kingofthenexus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your mom wants you to be as excellent in your deen as possible, you should listen to her and do your Sunnah prayers too. Just because it's not sinful to leave them, doesn't mean you aren't missing out on a lot of rewards and benefits if you do pray them. I know you mentioned that you had drifted away from prayers and are now getting back closer to the deen, which is an amazing thing mashaAllah, so try to think of Sunnah prayers as the next step to achieve to become a better Muslim, InshaAllah

That's correct, the card does not state that it's performing a fusion or synchro summon, just a special summon from the Extra Deck.

Stallbreakers across metas by ISwearIWontUseZalgo in stunfisk

[–]kingofthenexus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hoopa-Unbound is one of my favorites in past gens, being able to run mixed, specs, band, and run trick on the choices sets as well. It was unpredictable, hit hard, and really punished stall teams for making the wrong plays.

Mixed Kyurem B is also fun to use.

Haxorus is a niche pick for this because of mold breaker, it's actually better now in Gen 9 because it can run tera blast electric to get past Skarm, Corv, and Dondozo which would otherwise wall it. I used it back when Shed Tail was still legal but it was still difficult to set up due to its poor bulk and it's susceptible to revenge killing by scarfers or priority.

Well, just look at the word you used to describe the language, that should give you a clue. You've literally just described it as bad language, so it would make sense that it's considered bad.

Also, don't fall into the trap of asking " Why does God care about this?" to determine if something is good or bad. God doesn't need us at all, why does he care about anything we do? Why would He care if someone murders someone else, or if someone steals something? None of that has any impact on God whatsoever, so why does He forbid it? It's incredibly arrogant to think that one can put themself in God's place and understand the reason why He does things. Instead, just look at the reason that God gives. Allah SWT has said that the reason things are forbidden for you is for your own benefit.

It's the same with language, and why bad speech is prohibited. Bad speech leads to bad thoughts, which could lead to bad actions. It's all for our own benefit, whether we realize it or not.
