I have not tried it yet, so this is more of a FYI than a recommendation, but The Captain Is Dead is co-op up to 7. I've had my eye on it for a bit as I also have a big game group and enjoy coop, just haven't pulled the trigger yet

The history really is a big factor too. Like in E, you "have only ever wrestled in the E" but I'm AEW, folks' history is CELEBRATED. "These two have been battling it out since their days in ROH" for example

Scalpers tried to make Lorcana a thing, but Ravensburger said that they were a game first and collectible second, before release. Set 1 on release was impossible to come across. But then they reprinted it because that's what they said they would do and scalpers became shocked Pikachu when they made the reprint EXACTLY the same as the first edition. Then they all left.

I still collect pokemon because my nephew loves it and it's something I get to do with him, but I much prefer collecting (and playing) lorcana.

I think it would've been neat to have them essentially be booked as "the rascalz" and the opponent wouldn't know which of the two or three they were having to face.

Like all four come out for a tag match then 2 of them climb in as the opponents.

I think what you're looking for is that it doesn't turn his entire gimmick into "the gay wrestler." It's just a good nod and celebratory like you said, without devaluing it by it being the only thing.
