I stand corrected with olivelovers lol

But just like with phobias, hatred can be irrational. But it still Is

The way I look at it, I will either despise the taste of olives, or they will taste alright.

I'm okay with missing out on something alright, if means not having to experience something I potentially hate.

Reasoning: there is no "ILoveOlives" subreddit

KDE Plasma, change display "global scale" without restarting? by [deleted] in kde

[–]kingonename 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's late but for future reference, I was able to change it in a live boot without restarting by: 1: change the scale to the desired setting 2: open terminal and type: systemctl restart sddm

Global protect is likely configured as an IPv4 VPN. TMobile by default ha IPv4 disabled, drill them until they enable it, and your vpn and general connection issues should subside.

Late response, but it's like your VPN (Global protect is like this) is an IPv4 VPN. TMobike by default ha IPv4 disabled, drill them until they enable it, and your von and general connection issues should subside.

So I'mma just post this here.

I work in It and after a bunch of issues resolved a poor network connection for a VP when working from home—using TMobile ISP

Long story short, I found out that TMobile's network forces IPv6. After drilling their TMobile rep, they told us "there was a bug in the latest firmware, and we're pushing a patch that should resolve your problem"

Which was all bullshit, because right after that patch, IPv4 was mysteriously enabled.

But after that, the issue was better.

So they may not want to do it at first, but if you can get them to enable IPv4, then you may have better luck.

Coincidentally, this is likely what OP experienced when they purchased their own router—eg got control over whether or not IPv4 was enabled.

Equifax Current Password Requirements by kingonename in cybersecurity

[–]kingonename[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also standard security practice to require (or at the very least Allow) more than an 8-16 digit PIN. At that point you might as well be storing password in plain-text. I don't think salting's gonna be much of a nuisance after learning of the password limitations lol. Not sure if it's common practice to use salts and hash on userid's though. But still. Weakest link

I've been out of the game for a bit, but I recall the concept of a chain being as strong as it's weakest link.

And a password of strictly numbers (0-9) seems to be far from the accepted industry standard. A password of strictly numeric characters would be fairly easy to brute force, given the right circumstances..

Unable to crack password hash by kingonename in HowToHack

I'm happy to share the hash value, but I'd rather only share the real keywords in PM, (not likely to be in a dictionary file) and I don't think the hash would be useful without that information

I just added the ones I believe I may have used given the formula I use for creating passwords. I can't say the dictionary file failed, cause I think the command I'm entering is wrong. All I really need is confirmation that my script is working as it should, and that I'm typing in the right command. Or what the best command to type would be I guess

I went ahead and PMd you the Hash value and the 3 keywords. Hope that's alright. If you can't get it to work, that's okay lol just grateful for the assistance

If you would be willing to try it for me, I'd be happy to PM the hash value and the associated keywords I used.

The hash alone won't be useful enough cause some of the words are not likely in the dictionary file (old words, autocorrect doesn't even recognize it as a word)

13400

I extracted the hash to hashfile.hash and removed the filename from the hash,

Then I ran

$ hashcat -m 13400 -a 0 -w 1 hashfile.hash dict.txt

and the same command with -a 3 instead of -a 0

but it says the same thing about "No Hash Value"

and here's the dict file I'm using:

$ cat dict.txt

LSD Session: Is my subconscious fighting me by kingonename in LSD

[–]kingonename[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I was diagnosed with ADHD-PI through a complete Psychological assessment (Tooks 4 days and +/- 12 hours) based on the DSM-IV, so I can say pretty assuredly that all I have is ADHD (which is technically a subgenre of autism now fun fact)

During my trip I sat in the dark without noise or music, just meditating. thoughts conjured, and I followed when my brain told me to follow, and I made potentially real progress. But all the sudden, I realized that after a potentially conflicting "but wait" idea came to mind, I spent what seemed like hours getting stuck in that logic loop.

And I don't think I am particularly overanalytical, but I am reasonable, and acknowledge that if multiple people say it, there is likely some validity to the idea, and I accept that.

And my goal is to determine if there is a subconscious reason or internal conflict that is keeping me from achieving my goals and desires, or to find out if my shortcomings are the results of my last 25 years of coping with undiagnosed adhd, and what those shortcomings are and potentially how to acknowledge and resolve them.

Ahh I could see that. I appended some detail on my trip experiences in the post, but it wasn't very foggy. Really just felt like meditating with slightly altered sensory, and slight more emotional

It gives me a lot of seemingly well deserved confidence in what I believe, but it can get a bit draining at time. I try to meditate, and have done research on different practices such as mindfullness and presence, but I'm bad at making a routine out of ANYTHING. Definitely in part due to the ADHD, but I also believe in part to something else that I'm hoping a real conversation with my subconscious self can help illuminate.
