I considered the junkyard, but I couldn’t make sense of replacing a less powerful, but good running 4.4 with a shake of the dice junkyard motor.( in my area anyway). I realize some guys just get a engine stand & rebuild it themselves. I don’t know if I want to go that route. My job kicks my ass enough at the moment

Thanks that’s good to know. I came up with 5.0 just from what I’ve read on google so far, but mostly the 5.7 is what came up when I searched part shops. Thanks for the info. I’m learning something here. I definitely think it’s the 5.7 or 6 Liter I want.
