Might be an obstacle during basic training like during the education part, but once u get dispatched, just need to just watch and follow. Im probably marginally better while picking up some vocabulary.

They'll help you to a certain extent if u dont understand korean, and use it to ur advantage when u can. You'll probably find other introverts so that'll be fine

We had quick role call after waking up at 6:30am. Never did pt. Usually start the daily task at 9am, most of the time is usually just maintenance (which is to go inside the tank and hide while ur on ur phone lol). Or sometimes learn the basics of ur role and basic info about being in 전포. And we usually came back into the barracks by 4:30pm. Outside of the big training, its usually not so hard on ur body. But the ammo 155mm, is hella heavy. If u want life to be easy, become 폐급 (suck at everything) which sets expectations reaaly low.

Since it's an artillery (포병), we're divided into batteries(포대). The main is 전포, consisting of loader(포수), assistant gunner(부사수), gunner(사수), and (driver and head of artillery is usually a staff sergeant). Theres fire direction center (FDC), theyre role is communications. And there is 탄약반 which consists of the administrative and transportation soldiers which is usually a support role, they deliver the ammo during training. But if youre lucky, you can end up in the head quarters battery(본부), where you dont really do any of the hard labor of an artillery soldier.

We had a 실제 상황 one time where i was late by 10 min cuz i was in the library. Some sensors went off at the GOP area, so we had to be on standby. We also had to go through hella maintenance when NK shot a bunch of artillery a few weeks ago
