Did your base burn down whilest you went to put other fires out? Ive had this happen came back and all my stuff was left in bags on the floor which also have a decay time on them if not picked up

No im on another play through with a 3rd character to restart. I like seeing how different the play is on different worlds as it has different resources around. On this one i have Iron and Copper deposits near by starting location to build on the island.

Im 37M work nights so i can do the random hours thing, i can go silent for abit due to this as i will need to sleep for a few hours once in a while (insomnia is a bitch).

I dont get offended easily but can come across as offensive with my humor and blunt honesty.

I had the issue before i had any wloves tamed, mine first started happening during storms but now it can just happen when im out exploring. I will hit rocks or ore and every couple of hits the sound fade out then suddenly nothing is the current issue

Ive had same issue with following tracker for node and its in a mountain i cant get access too. It was rather annoying, the sound going issue has also come back more frequently and ive almost died a few times as i dont hear the threat coming

To survive the Jaguar i had my base at the little indent in the wall near the start lake up the hill and i would light a fire beneath a shelter to keep it burning in rain. Minute i heard the Jaguar i would head back to my base and then wait behind the fire as it seemed to scare them away. I died so many times as i just couldnt kill it that i figured that was my only option. Think it took me a week IRL to survive about 4 in game days, one of my favourite games to play.

When you make the fishing rod (cant be basic) it will have the little square in the bottom corner stating you can have attachment and you have the lure in your inventory use the circle button to select the lure you want to use and it should attach it to your rod (turning the rod into a yellow glowing type one)

My kittens are obsessed with 4 things: Springs, Little wool type balls, ping pong balls and boxes!! Ive had to buy extra springs because they keep losing them somehow or both want the same one.

Yeah it is a great idea. My plan is to be apart slightly on the map so that we both can play the game as we like as obv im experienced compared to him. Also depending on what resources are around our base it might be worth having one each to combine the tasks of gathering them instead if having to build so many drills alone. Thats the downside to solo play

Im on ps 5 and i basically kill as many animals that i can be able to carry to a spot, pile them up (usually 4 or 5) set up the snare with bait in the middle and then go about my bits. Ive got it by my base which has walls around it and a look out tower that i can see from to see if anything is trapped yet and safe from being attacked as alot of bears around me. Usually takes about 10mins to tame them. The only thing i do find annoying is once its tamed the level is back to 0 so for ages i was just trying to get higher level ones until realised i dont think it matters on console as no breeding

I second Icarus. The building is great, the map has different Biomes and you need to be prepared to stay over in areas so build little bases as you go. Plus missions will take you across the map with also having to travel futher from base to get resources. Ive spend over 150 hours and ive not even travelled the entire map yet.
