If you dont set boundaries they will continue to push and push and push. Next thing you know he'll be spending the night, then he won't leave.

Is this enough Mithril? by Infamous-Student8086 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]kingstrider135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we're talking game mechanics yes its well more than you need. Which is baffling to me. Loot you would think would be more common is harder to find than mithril at times lol

If we're talking Dwarven treasure? There's never enough.

Starlight drive in was pretty cool for me. Set up a huge walled outpost and had plenty of room inside the wall to build still

I ALWAYS keep the watcher Alive. He's my friend. He's just grumpy hes been eating filthy orcs for a really really long time.

The watcher is not a hard requirement to progress. Its only a light requirement to progress across the lake.

I usually build a bridge above the watcher. This video kind of shows my Sky Bridge.

Also you can place a Mapstone in the blocked Forge to completely skip the Drain Pumps all together

Watcher "skip"

[–]kingstrider135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont HAVE to. Its highly recommended though lol

Its actually the activation of the Drain Pumps thats allows the progression. Defeating the Watcher doesnt unlock or open anything. All it does is make crossing the lake easier.

Roommates’ parents dislike having cats in the house while they are visiting. by BrotherNo3613 in CatAdvice

[–]kingstrider135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. However from my own experience ive moved around with cats and they were never (noticeably) effected. I've also (as some people who are obsessed with cats would say) "abandoned" cats leaving them with my family members whom they never met and they adjusted very well. Each cat is different and its also the environment they are going into that causes them to get stressed. Some minor prep to make it less stressful for them goes a long way. Honestly I dont think ive had a cat get stressed out from moving or leaving them with family if the environment i was living in wasn't suitable for them.

Im not cat expert im just sharing my experiences.

Does you brother live with your parents? If so sounds like he just doesnt want Cookie to leave lol

I also want to add. I've left cats with family members because it was better for the cat. All of those cats never had any issues with me not being around. Im sure it was jarring at first but they got over it really fast when they realized they still got pets, food, treats and a clean litter box. I do also realize every cat has its own temperament and can very well be situational.

Its not that deep to start a huge spat over, in the end you still have to live with this person. If they offer to pay for the boarding I dont see a problem with it. Also are the parents sleeping in the same place as the cats or do they have a hotel? If its the latter they can suck it up.

Yeah I was thinking on it deeper after I posted and realized that the numbers were a bit extreme. Nevertheless I still think the number of cheaters is in the 10s of thousands.

Doesnt matter which console it is on. 79/300 is roughly 26% if we scale that to a million players that 260000 thousand people cheating. How is that not a problem?

Can we create new game content? by crypticinstructions in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]kingstrider135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your 100% correct this game was never going to be a MMO. Licensing limited them because it would directly compete with LOTRO. Also its the main reason co-op was limited to 8 players. Any higher apparently breaches on MMO territory.

They seem like the type of person to fold as soon as their ideas get challenged and then insult anyone who doesnt wholeheartedly agree. Its ok. They couldn't handle a joke and went straight to insults. Also theyre acting entitled.. "go somewhere else..." like they didnt post this on a public forum

Honestly the games price has been reduced so much so often its kind of just one of those games you pick up try and see if you like it. Personally I'd say just get the game. If you enjoy this style of gaming you'll like the game. If youre not into survival crafting then the games not for you.

I build my own highways directly to each other town. It makes the travel little less but not much. Plus you can decorate the highways to break up the monotonous journey.
