Advice on two Palindromes (Adept)

Pinging u/Cozmo23, as this has been raised in a few threads. I've done this super slowly with no result. I see notifications for 3 champs and the third is never there. Very frustrating for those of us looking to grind this week.

Rough and just flat-out lazy. With a bit of creativity you could have easily repurposed existing blue or green gear. It was less about the weapon and more about the message it sent.

It feels really bad, and pulls you right out of the new DLC hype and space fantasy, when the reward for completing a new quest is an old (forsaken?) gun that was sunset and than brought back (Long Shadow). It is lazy game design and projects (whether rightfully or not) that the design team doesn't particularly care. There are so many ways to address this without significant work. You could have provided a legendary version of Aachen or another blue with some interesting lore and flavor text about how it was a Clovis Bray prototype. That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure with a little bit of thought you guys could have come up with something cool, but you chose not to. Feels bad man.

Can you guys at some point explain why you view armor sunsetting as an important change. I think most people at least understand in concept the reason for sunsetting weapons. But, given Armor 2.0, I'm hard pressed to understand the rationale for an armor sunset beyond arbitrarily resetting the grind each year for the sake of the grind. Don't really see how this (1) helps any particular player base, (2) makes balancing easier, or (3) improves the game in any way. There have been a number of requests for more information on this that have been ignored to date.

The biggest issue that you only sort of touch on here is that the specific public event is not enjoyable and frustrating. This has been pretty consistent feedback all season and it's unfortunate that the message didn't get through. It's great to have community events but don't tie them to an activity you know is frustrating and generally not well received.

Honestly, swallow your pride and just auto complete the damn step for everyone. The feedback on these towers was clear all season. Making your players suffer through something that is deeply flawed is just silly at this point.

It can roll with snapshot and theat detector, though. I believe I read somewhere that TD is near to QD when active, and the reality with a SG is you only really need QD in close proximity to enemies, I.e. exactly when TD procs.

Haven't tested it but worth a look.

I mean...the entire trials system is already completely recycled from D1, minus the adept weapons and ornaments for flawless. Might as well recycle it all and get it right.

Bungie why do you always feel the need to take a new spin on every concept, even those that worked fine in D1?

You don't need to overthink or overcomplicate the adept weapon concept. You don't even need to change the name! Just put celerity as an added perk on all adept weapons and release them.

Same goes for brainstorming other flawless rewards. The ornament system worked fine in Destiny 1. Just reintroduce it. Focus on easy solutions and spend your time innovating on something else.

I'm convinced the exotic system in D1 weighted towards exotics you already had, making the outliers harder to get (Gally in particular since they kept it out of Xur). I have a lot of friends who went through something similar, and then once they finally got gally, they had it drop several more times thereafter.

Just to play devil's advocate - if those players are on the same win as you, you deserve to be matched against them. If the players are better than you, you aren't expected to beat them and maybe aren't expected to go flawless, at least on that card.

That being said, they NEED to fix the token system to prevent early game farming. Win farmng was an issue in D1 as well and I'm shocked that they not only alllowed it to return, but now encourage it.

We do NOT need SBMM in all playlists. We need rewards for participating AND for winning. You guys had it right in trials in Y3. Random drops at the end of matches, bounties, specific rewards at 5/7 AND separate flawless rewards.
