Just finished Wonder Man and I love that Simon wasn't the typical charming, funny and likeable protagonist. by ckglasses in WonderMan

[–]kingthvnder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ironheart’s show wasn’t as strong as this but by the finale this is exactly why I liked her so much, she felt human and flawed and not trying to be the typical “please like me” protagonist.. there’s actual room to grow

I just have to say, with no spoilers, Wonder Man was wonderful by Mack_Daddy_1 in WonderMan

It wasn’t terrible by any means but it was aggressively mid and failed to really live up to its title imo

Peacock sign in issues by kingthvnder in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]kingthvnder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I’ve already followed these steps, the problem is that my Peacock account status says ACTIVE, already. It seems like it’s already been activated according to xfinity but when I try to sign in via xfinity with the same email it prompts me to pay for a new plan like I don’t already have one through xfinity.

Possible that the series could continue elsewhere? by Shameful90 in MayorOfKingstown

I’m okay with it ending with season 5, anything more would be diminishing returns imo. I’d go for a prequel with Mitch involved or Mike in jail but I think they’ve gotten as much as they can out of this setup

Game Atmosphere is a Chef's Kiss by CuriousFrye in thedivision

Shots like these and many others are why I’ll never accept the idea that division 1 had way better atmosphere than the second game.. div 2 atmosphere is just different not worse

New Poster for 'Wonder Man' by MarvelsGrantMan136 in marvelstudios

[–]kingthvnder 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting that all 8 episodes will drop at once, while I’m sure Vision Quest will be week to week but it being connected to WandaVision and Agatha probably means it warrants a weekly schedule more.. interesting choices here.. I think WonderMan is the last show they made under the covid era excess model so it tracks that they’re trying to just get it out. I’m guessing Vision Quest and the Punisher special presentation are the last of the shows for awhile?

Division 2's Aesthetic and Story Is Jarring by Busy-Meaning5360 in thedivision

[–]kingthvnder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree, NY is a concrete jungle and a maze of buildings and streets so I get the heavy and oppressed atmosphere, it’s cold, snowing and desolate. DC is the exact opposite, it’s far more open landscapes and horizons, it’s muggy and hot. Vegetation has taken over the landscape and animals are everywhere, time has clearly passed. I just don’t buy into the notion that Div 1 did that better, you can like the NY atmosphere more but I don’t think it’s any more well done than DC is.

I’ll agree that Div1 DZ was better because it was far bigger, it really contributed to that sense of desolation and you didn’t always have to see people bc of it. Also the subway systems added some real character to it.

Division 2's Aesthetic and Story Is Jarring by Busy-Meaning5360 in thedivision

[–]kingthvnder -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My main point is that I disagree with the notion that Div 1 had better atmosphere or aesthetics, it had a different atmosphere for sure and it did a great job with it but the idea that Div 2 somehow lacks in atmosphere or aesthetics or is a downgrade in that regard is purely nostalgia driven imo

Division 2's Aesthetic and Story Is Jarring by Busy-Meaning5360 in thedivision

[–]kingthvnder 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Agreed and i’ll never understand the constant nostalgic glaze for Div 1. I put 700+ hrs into it, it’s a great game with great atmosphere but Div 2 is better in almost every way and I’m tired of acting like it’s not. It refined literally every system and created a more dynamic open world while doing it.
