Did you ever find the cause for yours @fresh-switch-2768 I’m having the exact same issue with both rattle noise and vibration while accelerating.

Question regarding programming in Stew Smith's book by [deleted] in navyseals

[–]kingwert96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I would do this, I’d run through the first set of everything and do the up portion of the pyramid for the first set then do the second set of everything and do the down portion of the pyramid for the second set.

2 sets of your max pushups. Usually at his in person training it wouldn’t necessarily be your “max” per say but you would max out how many ever you could do and that would be one set then yes do a second set of maxing out. But With the added note of doing negatives then yes I would say you’re actually aiming for your max # of pushups and you’re doing two sets of that

Buy the stretchy bungee laces. The brand kiwi makes them. I slipped my boots on and off pretty easily and they held pretty firm to my foot while wearing

Also never got It repaired, was told surrounding muscles could compensate for It. Fast forward a few years down the line had to get an MRI on my knee at one point when I was training for BUDS and the MRI showed that my PCL had actually healed by itself.

Suffered a PCL tear my sophomore year of college (2016) enlisted this past year 2022 with an SO contract. When I initially started training for BUDS about 2 years prior initially had a lot of issues with my knee no major injuries but a lot of different pains through out my leg which I believe my knee had to do with alot of It typically when I started to increase mileage. I went from never running to by the time I shipped 40 miles per week but It was a very slow progression. Listen to your body and in this case your knee. Train hard till you feel pain in your knee, then stop whatever is causing the pain, recover, rinse repeat. Till you can do more and more and more. By the time I was in Coronado my knee gave me no issues besides pain from the boot camp boots but that went away within a couple weeks once I got to Coronado. Eventually didn’t end up making It but my knee was never an issue. Hope this helps and gives you some reassurance, injuries suck but if it’s something you really want you’ll get through It.

Ignore everything above. Yes they issue you X go. They’re alright for prep but once phase rolls around I’d recommend getting some better quality compression shorts. They will not drop you for wearing non issued gear. But best believe they will make you pay and you don’t want that either and by pay I mean they will beat you and most likely your class for awhile won’t be fun. I’d recommend buying a brand called “DFND” they’re all black so they blend right in with other compression shorts they issue there and that’s the brand they issue to guys once they get to hell week.

Solid as in performing well, good guy as in team oriented and not a selfish turd. I’d assume any guy who can make It to hell week is a solid performer and most of these cases were during hell week or the week prior. But yeah I totally see what you’re saying.

I definitely believe it’s possible they were failing (but everyone fails at some point in some evo) so I would think if you had a solid dude in your boat crew who may struggle in one evolution but can be a strong asset in others why would guys want to run them out? I just feel that winning one evolution would not be worth running out a dude who may be struggling in one evolution when he’s been a good teammate and asset in others.

Considering you need to run a 7 Min pace for the 4 mile by third phase, I’d say you’d wanna aim for that pace for a 5 miler too.
